it is the 7th of the 2nd 2024 6:24pm. in 16 hours and 35 minutes from now I will have to say goodbye to my best friend of the last 16 years. he has hardly left my side in all that time. he has helped 4 of my children take their first steps in this world. he has been by my side when i have felt my most lonely. listened to me without question, made me laugh, made me cry, made me feel like no matter the mistakes i have made he was there for me. And from the first day i saw him and rescued him from being destroyed as a young stray i have never questioned or regretted a day of our lives together. All the chewed toys of my kids because he liked that type of plastic, all the bins he would tip over and the door frame he destroyed because he liked the that particular bit of wood to chew on. all the times he sat beside me in my car with his head out of the window. all the walks along the beach and through fields. all the nights he slept at my feet on my bed. its strange to think that our time is running out as i listen to this. he has had his last meal, i cant take him for our last walk because he can hardly stand any more. I wont sleep tonight, ill stay by his side. in the morning my children will wake and go out to school and when they return he wont be here. At 11am a stranger is going to come into our home and take him away from us, and ill be at his side with this playing. I love and miss you my friend, Please wait for me when we meet again!!!!

One if my favorite bands . With Dio of course. I didn't care much for the conscious decision for Ritchie to go in that commercial rock stuff. Obviously Ronnie didn't either like that direction. But we got so much more greatness from Ronnie with Sabbath and his solo career of course. He was great in Rainbow and it's probably my favorite incarnation of his talents.
