Doc would have no reason to be pleased, he would be impressed, maybe slightly envious, depending on his disposition. This is the best cover of the song. Writer unknown and contributor's countless. The song goes back as far as the old country, in folk music, it was ultimately shaped into what it is now in the Appalachian through the 18th ad 19th century and was published as soon as the music industry started in 1911. Doc was late in the game on covers and doesn't hold the rights to being pleased or proud, just saying. Lol

Also at the end, the same. I'm not sure, but I think the mandoline stayed on the same chord instead of changing, maybe they wanted to break up the harmony a bit...sounds strange anyway, but not wrong
