As astounding as Billy is I have huge respect for him also surrounding himself with expert technical musicians. Each man on that stage oozes individual talent and they compliment each other perfectly, stepping back when needed, adding when needed, they know each other. Billy is the star sure, but all these boys deserve huge respect

This song hits me like a box of rocks. My parents were meth addicts when I was a child that ruined our lives. Consumed with homelessness and just down right uncertainty. Would we eat, get robbed, raped? My father is clean now but All I ever wanted was an apology from him but he won’t admit to any of it. He just ignores the subject. Now I suffer from depression and anxiety. So every lyric of this song hits so hard. I love it when a song can just reach into your soul and pull something out.

I feel the exact same way. Both of my parents were meth addicts when i was a child. when i was in my early 20s and my mom had been clean i asked her for an apology for my childhood. She got really angry with me started cussing at me and told me to get out of her house. I think in her head she still justifies what happened because its technically a disease. Still doesn't feel right for me though.

This song makes me cry my eyes out. My wife and I were hooked on meth for two years. Fighting ourselves and each other, lost custody of our kids, seeing us become different people and talking to shadows on the walls…. I’ll never touch that evil stuff again. I’ve got my family back and been sober four years. (Tinfoil is used to smoke and cook meth, in case someone doesn’t understand)

this is my favorite song of his. probably because its not typical bluegrass. shows prowess and skill of writing, song structure, tempo changes, harmonies, melodies, and dowmright ripping. very rare to hear it all in one place usually getting one or two with the others but hes just one of those extraordinary men that just have it.

I believe that this is one of if not the finest musical examples of prodigies I have ever witnessed! I’m in my 60’s, and have seen a lot of super great bands and this guy ‘Billy’ and his band are right at the top, if not over it! We went and saw these guys in Indy a few weeks ago. They played for just under 3 hours and when it ended I’m thinking that’s it! They are that good!

He pulls people from everywhere, bcuz he plays so many different styles. I like his own stuff most, but when I find a track he played I like, I always love his way of playing it! Sometimes more than the original. Btw "blessed by god?" Cereal? That does not sound very death metal bro, but yeah, I know exactly what you mean. He has just mad Skillz! He is truly a guitar god in the flesh! Btw he played Slipknot once, and I always liked the midnight rider, he did that one too. So there`s something for almost everyone. No death metal so far, as far as I know, sadly. but he would nail it, I just know it!

Billy started out as metal guitarist - playing Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. He was introduced to bluegrass by his uncle IIRC. He definitely brings a dark edge to his music that would appeal to metal heads.
