The most fascinating thing about this geniuses is that they're having a completely own style of music. If you hear billy talent and know the band you immediately know that you're listening to billy talent. I can't quite describe it in words but I guess you know what I mean, since you are reading this comment.

+Tarion LP Oh yes :) When i first heard a song from BT I instantly loved it (River Below) i was about 7 years old and couldn't speak english at all (im austrian) since then, it's my favorite band and when I started getting better in english and finally understanding the lyrics, that moment was amazing, realising the greatness of their songs, the meaning behind it and often those quotes in their songs which give you a moment to think about.. I'm 19 now and still listening to this band, i know every single song and heard every song hundreds of times and it still wont get boring listening to them, they helped me through difficult times. There's even the possibility of me being dead without them..

It's because they only have one guitarist who plays as The rhythm and Lead at the same time and they have lots of backing vocals. And their vibe is so different from other bands

Slapped my face, Slammed the door, A dozen roses lay on the floor. I saw her friends, And I was told, She blocked my number from her cell phone. You said we, Were meant to be, Now this obsession is killing me. Until I have, A heart attack, I'll keep on trying to win you back. Alone at last, I can't wait 'till we're alone at last, All i wanted was a second chance, second chance, To hold you in my arms at last. Forever, Forever, I'll walk a thousand miles, Just to tell her, To tell her, Our love is still alive, And I'll never, I'll never, I'll never let it die, Well you'd better watch your step, She's a diamond on a landmine. I'm not so sure, About this word, But she kept calling me insecure. I tried to quit, But theres no use, 'Cause I'm addicted to her abuse. She's in control, of everything, I'm just the puppet, she pulls my strings, Denying truth, I'll test my fate, I'll keep on playing this wicked game. Better watch your step, She's a diamond on a landmine. Better watch your step, She's a diamond on a landmine. Waiting to explode... Went dancing on thin ice before, Frozen from the winter's cold, And if it were to crack below, I'd never let you go... Better watch your step, She's a diamond on a landmine. Better watch your step, She's a diamond on a landmine. Waiting to explode... You'd better watch your step, She's a diamond on a landmine. Billy Talent is the first band that I ever became familiar with when I was little. I've come to learn recently, so many years after learning about them, that they are undoubtedly my favorite band. These guys are absolute geniuses! I learned about them around 2006 when Billy Talent II came out, I was probably 10 and wasn't into music that much at all, but I thought they were awesome. I've sort of rediscovered them recently and now I'm able to see see the greatness of their music that I didn't even understand before.

Because they're relatable to everyone's lives! I mean, I interpret this song to my own life. I met a woman who I thought was perfect. But as time went on I realized that being with her would kill who I really am. We weren't good together but the idea of the relationship was so enticing. She was a diamond but if I took her and claimed her to be mine I'd detonate myself. Great music though.

I absolutely love this tune. Its sheer genius by way of composition, especially poignant when considering its a pretty straight forward pop rock tune. But musically, the interplay between the guitar and bass, the subtle piano in the verses, and how well the vocals work against one another... just... man. Then there's the structure: the ups and downs in intensity really make the song an emotional rollercoaster (a la Nirvana/The Pixies) not to mention the perfect timing of where these rises and falls are. Then there's the bridge with three distinct movements. Straight forward rock, into half time breather, into progressive groove, setting it up for that pre-chorus build to hit you right in the feels, and give that chorus a renewed vitality and significant impact. I just cant say enough about how PERFECT of a composition this is.

When I was 16 I fell in love with a girl. I was obsessed with her. We were best friends. It was always unrequited. We finally dated when I was 23 just for it to end a few months in. I still haven't loved anyone else. I didn't know it at the time, but it turns out I did know what true love was at the time. Now I'm about to be 32. Literally half of my lifetime ago. But I still think of her when I listen to this song. We're both different people now, the people we were no longer exist. I still love that old version of her though.
