The more we learn about Billy's life and the injustice he faced, the more tragic and sad his life was. He really had few choices other than what he did.

Apropirating history technically not directly related/descended to their current offices; so what has or will come out that some of the more recent officers have allegedly done which could be thought of as abusing their badge/office, which requires a 'historical statement of an exoneration', which could be allegedly used towards helping them in the eyes of the public around them??

Having grown up in ruidoso NM in the 70's, even though I have never liked Billy the Kid, I have always been a Tunstall fan, so seeing a monument to Sheriff Brady and Hindman made my blood boil to see such a thing for corrupt law enforcement. Btw, my great great whatever uncle was Jim Greathouse (not Jenny as that silly movie portrayed). To those on the other side of the fence, just remember this event was over a 130 years ago and most of what happened has passed into the myths of time.

As a Brit, I'm always rather surprised that the most passionate KZbin videos about US history involve firearms. As a nation you've brought the world so much more....and thank you. Really, Thank You. The industrial scale production of Penicillin was developed in the US from fungal spores from a street market in New York. The first men on the moon were Yanks. Deep sea exploration, that was you guys. Moby Dick. The Wright Brothers. (We'll forget about Twilight). And before you ask.....I have shotguns, rifles and pistols. Here. Legally. In the UK.There's no further point to this.....I'm a little pissed on homemade Gin.Cheers.

I read the book Billy the Kid written by Robert Utley which seems to be a very accurate account of his life several times and started to become very interested in his life. I watched the Young Gun movies and enjoyed them as well. Last year we went to Lincoln county and seen where it all took place and went into the old courthouse and Tunstell store etc. It is a wonderful place of history and should always be preserved and not lost/forgotten. We also went to Hico Texas to see the controversial grave of Brushy Bill that you see in the opening scene of Young Guns 2. There is a museum there as well of course it is small but interesting never the less. Great Video I was surprised to see anything on this subject 👍
