So happy for Billy to get in. It shouldn't have taken this long especially when you consider he's a left hander. One of the most dominant closers of all-time! CONGRATS BW!!!

Besides Mariano - the greatest closer ever. So happy for a great pitcher and seems like a great dude.

Nah Hoffman is the 2nd best. Billy is 3rd though.
@paulyp985319 күн бұрын
@@ulyssesfister3735 I respect your opinion but disagree. With pitchers with 900 innings plus ----- Wagner has the lowest BA against with .187. Highest K's per 9 11.92. Hits per 9 with 5.99. Whip with .0997. Lowest opponent OPS .588. These are the most dominant numbers posted by a pitcher ever with minimum 900 innings. The reason why I have him 2nd to Mariano is because of the post season dominance by Mariano Mariano had 141 innings in the post season. Both Wagner and Hoffman had under 12 or less so its too small a sample size.

Congrats Billy. Only racist Mark Gooden@National Inquirer refused to vote for Ichiro for unbelievable reasons. He destroyed MLB fans in Japan and should never vote again. Why he can vote from the beginning? BS.

i pitched opposed to BW in college. we came up during Fall Ball from NC and all my southern teammates were abuzz about him. being from NJ, i had no idea who he was. we pulled into the field location in a huge pretty team bus. the field was a bit of an outpost - not much around. the parking lot was full of pickups with shotgun racks. hadn't seen anything like that before. we both came into the game late...i believe i came in around the 6th and BW around the 7th in a 0 v 0 game. if i remember correctly. big if. many years ago ~ 1992. and i only knew of Ferrum College b/c my older cousin failed out of it. she was from richmond, va. if i remember correctly, not one player made contact for a few innings. BW's legs were larger in diameter than my waist. he was a monster from waist down. the coaches let the game go into extra innings and our stud lefty first basemen hit a line drive homer just wrapping the pole about two feet off the fence line. i held the lead in the bottom half. we win 1-0. i'm sure there's more. i liked Fall Ball because you could do a lot of experimenting. i'm happy the writers have acknowledged BW's accomplishments. congrats to him and all of those recognized this year. didn't really like CC b/c i'm an O's fan but i have been really inspired by his community engagement post career. ty-
