A lot of it was nostalgia. Everybody in my class back in 2008 was reading it, so I read it too and saw the movies in theaters to keep up with the hype. @strawberrysoulforever83363 жыл бұрын
Actually. it's her blood that's the problem. Why on earth do so many vampires want it? For some reason, even though she's only a singer to Edward, everyone else seems to want her too. Heaven knows what would have happened if she'd run into one of the other covens they were friendly with. They have a huge amount of friends and the Denali coven are literally the only other ones that don't drink human blood (apparently Tanya, Kate and Irina adopted that lifestyle just so they can seduce as many men as they want without killing them - Tanya even tried starving herself before she discovered she could drink animal blood).

*Robert Pattinson actually did a good job* (esp. given that they wouldn’t let him act the way he wanted). I think people forget that he’s literally a VAMPIRE whose spent his life waiting to meet this girl. That vampire urge for her scent etc would be overbearing (even though he’s been a “vegetarian” vampire for years). He did a good job of being awkward/weird, he’s a century old vampire.

@shiaras46753 жыл бұрын
RPatts did good considering the material. I keep remembering and loving him as Cedric Diggory so I know it's not on his acting performance. But as for Edward's reaction coming down to him being a vampire and waiting 100 years to meet Bella, please watch The Vampire Diaries. Stefan Salvatore is a 150 year old vampire who spent a lot of those years basically being uncontrollably murderous around human blood, coming face to face with a girl with the same face as his toxic ex girlfriend who turned him and caused him to drift away from his brother. Someone he came to absolutely loathe because of everything she did. And still, he had a better reaction and treatment towards Elena than Edward. Boy had more personality than Edward too. Elena had more personality than Bella. Please note that Stefan and Elena are NOT my favorite at all and I still think they're better than Twilight.

I’m gonna be honest, with Twilight, the plot itself is fine/good (meaning that if you were to explain the basic plot to someone, it would sound cool) its just the execution, the cringyness, and the MANY red flags that makes it bad. Bad to the point where it’s laughable. (Rob Pattinson who plays Edward himself doesn’t even like the movies 😭) But yeah the toxicness and the cringe make it unenjoyable for me.
@spamachuchan88243 жыл бұрын
See your reason for not watching, is my reason to occasionally watch. (Aside from the last movie, I can enjoy that as a stand alone; series once every few years I can watch it laugh and cringe). Jennifer's body is also laughable, horrible, toxic, cringe; as a woman I am a sucker for Megan Fox (she is a role model to me) I suggest if you haven't seen the movie give it a watch or at the minimum listen to a review. It's an amazing plot with horrible execution; just like the Twilight saga.
@Stephaniacat3 жыл бұрын
@@spamachuchan8824 i also dont get the hype for Jennifer's body. Like you said i get the message but its still pretty bad movie. Not even bad and fun. And twilight has some amazing cinematography and thats it. The script and books are cringe. I would say new moon its probably one of the best representations of depressions I've ever seen.
@spamachuchan88243 жыл бұрын
@@Stephaniacat If I am being honest the ONLY reason I ever liked or enjoyed Jennifer's body, was because I liked seeing Megan Fox turn into a monster that eats men, after she is sacrificed by idiots. It was comic retribution to me. For me it's that simple (I would also like it noted I would probably enjoy a gender bent version of the movie where a guy is sacrificed by women, comes back as a woman eating monster. Especially when you play with stereotypes like Jennifer's body did.)

Oh man, the Twilight series (both books and movies) was my EVERYTHING back in Grade 6 to Grade 9. Definitely a guilty pleasure now because it's so unintentionally funny and quotable. Love your commentary on it as a non-fan and got me laughing the whole way through! And about the colour of vampire eyes, you are right, if a vampire recently drank human blood their eyes are red (golden if it's animal blood). If a vampire hasn't eaten in a while, their eyes are black (which is what Edward's eye colour was when they first met until he returned to class after a few weeks hunting so his eyes were now gold).
