Fun facts: For those who still don’t know what kind of fish Oscar is, he’s a bluestreak cleaner wrasse. They’re known for cleaning parasites off other creatures, which explains why Oscar works at the Whale Wash. - Don’t know if anyone else noticed but one of those magazines that Oscar appeared on the cover of is called Pisces like the astrological sign. - Shark Tale was originally gonna be titled Sharkslayer but it was decided that the title needed to be changed to make it sound less violent and more family oriented.

I’m still shocked this is considered such a flop/bad movie/ gets shit talked about so much online! I think it’s also Dreamworks lowest rated and lowest profited movie which shocked me. The voice cast is loaded and I have such positive memories of this movie. Whenever me and my brothers played Crash Bandicoot and Sly Cooper we always quoted the Jellyfish stoner brothers: “x, circle, X X, double left square, right trigger down, square, square!” And then the other would be “ooooh double square. Respect!” To this day we have it memorized and still say it 😂

Billy, I’m surprised that not only you didn’t hear Jack Black’s voice from the get-go when introduced to Lenny but the fact that you thought it was Crazy Joe was insane. 😅 Seriously, though, I recall watching this movie with a pair of KZbinrs some time after the infamous Will Smith slap at the Oscars, get it? and they were very surprised that the cast was a couple of A-Listers, especially Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese, a legendary filmmaker. Plus, when one of the jellyfish said that’s not how the song goes after stinging Oscar, it’s hilarious and ironic that other is voiced by Ziggy Marley, the son of Bob Marley himself. So, by saying that, it’s basically trashing his father’s song. Nevertheless, it’s a fun film from the early 2000s. By the way, I was drinking water during this take and speak for yourself, I’m pretty content with what I have.

To be honest, this movie lives in my rent free in my head. Like the jokes and everything is just clever. Lenny dressing up as a dolphin because them and orcas are known for being menaces of the ocean; they bully great whites just for fun. And the words, “You’re not a nobody, you’re a wiener!” Will be my favorite phrase ever. I use that at least once a month. Also Angelina Jolie had no business being this fine as a fish. Seriously the entire cast is stacked for no reason.

Shark Tale's soundtrack is still one of my favorites to this very day, especially from DreamWorks. Instant classic. But I had that poor CD on repeat so often as a kid, accidentally dropped the portable player a few too many times, that I couldn't even listen to the last 4-5 songs anymore 😅 Thank goodness for music streaming sites/apps!
