@@drewziesmer1178 Yeah and then shut it down with the lame excuse that it was too expensive for a multi billionaire company like them to keep it going in order to try to prevent Nimona, which was being developed by Blue Skies back then, from ever being released due to it having queer/LGBTQIA+ rep. Thankfully it ended up being finished by another studio and was a total success while Disney didn't make any succesful movie in the same year! Though I'll certainly miss Blue Sky studios.

Brazilian here hahaha! You uploaded this video just a week after the Carnaval - it's just like that, one big party, everyone dancing and getting drunk in the streets. It can be dangerous, so people just take what they'll need in cash, not even their phones, but still very doable and fun. The name of the big statue is called Christ the Redeemer. Also, the blue Macaw is endemic from the jungles around Rio, but they were almost extinct before the repopulation programs started in the 90's - 2000's. Come to visit Brazil, you'll have a wonderful time

I'm from Rio and when the movie came out it got really famous here, we love it! And Carnaval is one of the parties we wait for the most, the biggest in the country in my opinion, it ended last week and all these samba schools compete with eachother in a parade all night long, I highly recommend watching it in real life, please do visit us❤❤ love ur videos Edit: writing while i'm watching, the statue is called Cristo Redentor (Christ The Redeemer) located on the Corcovado Hill, you can go up there to see him closely, some people even pass by on a helicopter! Interesting that the song from the white bird reminded you of Moana, the voice actor is the same as the crab that sings "Shiny". The fruit hat is a reference to the singer Carmen Miranda, it is common to see people dressed as her (mostly kids cause teens and adults like to get creative)

Brazilian here🙋 Carnival lasts between three and five days here, we have float parades, street parties, clubs and bars, all these parties take place with music and of course, drinks. I've seen a lot of foreigners at this year's carnival, people come here to see the landscapes, meet people, try food and enjoy a party, that's what every Brazilian knows how to do!! 37:24 It takes all night (12hrs+) for like 4 days straight. We have a lot of different "escolas de samba" (schools of samba), each one has 60-70 minutos to have their own parede with the theme they choosed/created. After all the schools are finished, they are judged on different categories based on how well went the parede, and in the end a school is crowned the carnaval queen of its state. We have like 3 days of party throughout the country (it depends, it can be 7 cause some places it starts before Rio), the last day being a holiday, and kinda of the day after too.

Rio is such an infectious film that can make you get up to sing and dance. Director Carlos Saldana gave us a glimpse of his Brazilian roots and native home with interesting characters and songs that make for a great animated flick! Stars Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway gave such wonderful performances as the leading birds!

glad you watched rio!! my family had a little light yellow parakeet named rio (we took the name from this movie), he was the sweetest little bird. we had both parakeets and a cockatiel that have passed, and i'd always greet them with little whistles and get a ton back ♡ and learning to whistle just takes practice!

I’ve always had a fascination with Brazil, carnival, and samba dancing so I was OBSESSED with this movie’s soundtrack when it came out! Still am 😍

I watched this movie one too many times when i was younger!!! I watched it everyday for almost 2 years, always singing along to every song 😭 i still think its too under appreciated

If you're coming to Brazil, you should try visiting other states as well such as mine which is Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil's southermost state, which is known for it's delicious meats and barbecues! I know a woman who came from Rio de Janeiro to here and ate a barbecue from this state for the first time and she said she never ate a more delicious meat in her life before! You should also try eating açaí, which is an ice cream like stuff made from a berry with the same name, that tastes good with a lot of different stuff such a strawberries and powder milk. And also the brazilian soda Guraná, which tastes very sweet and fruity.
