Sonic Speed Sim is trash and the MOMENT you get a Hoverboard, you win literally anything because it gives you an automatic speed of around 458, which is like 3x higher than anyone else's 💀

Pfft NO, players with high level can pass 458 speed just by boosting. You also gain speed when rolling downhill, and drop dashing down a slope instantly gets you to top speed. The game’s MOVEMENT is actually pretty clean, if it was for an actual sonic game instead of a simulator, it’d be REALLY fun to control.

I think that Sonic Speed Simulator is a decent time waster while we wait for the next mainline Sonic game. It might not be as good as most official console Sonic games but at least it controls and looks decent and it gets updated weekely too. Out of the free to play/online official Sonic games out there it's definitely my favorite one because of the game variety (you can run explore the maps, beat boss battles and race) and of player interaction (you can chat with other players, race together and fight boss battles and also trade if you're into that too). It also has a decent amount of characters and chao too. On the other hand, the game feels very grindy and repetitive since most of the events for the new skins feel very similar. Overall, I'd give the game a 7/10. Could be better but It's not the worst one. This game definitely introduced a lot of new people to the Sonic series which I think is a good thing since it might result for more sales on the console Sonic games eventually. (I already met a few players there before who said that Sonic Speed Simulator was their first Sonic game and they bought Sonic Forces, Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Superstars after a few months of playing it). So It's definitely promoting the Sonic brand which is an undeniable merit. By the way, we're getting a new Sonic Free to play game inspired by Fall Guys this year. I hope that one will be good and that you'll make a video on it too. Sorry for the long comment, I just wanted to express my opinion of the game since I have been playing it for a few months in between console Sonic releases and got more experience with it. (In case you're wondering, I'm a longtime fan and I have played both official and fan made Sonic games over a decade and i only tried this game because It's a official one. I wouldn't have even tried Roblox if there weren't any official Sonic games on it honestly. I don't regret it though since I made a few friends while playing speed sim though).

Well, as someone who really likes the Forces jump ball (despite being a general Forces hater) I would like to see why you hate that jump ball and why you like other ones. Not to judge you, but rather to understand the mindset you use to approach this topic. I love game analysis in almost every aspect!

as far as I can tell there's kind of two main kinds of jumpballs in the sonic series. the first is literally just sonic's model curling up into a ball like in SA2 or 06. the second type has some kind of separate spherical jumpball model that is used or it flashes between that and sonic's actual model like in adventure or unleashed. I'm not really a fan of the first type at all. it looks okay in sa2 because of the effects its given but in something like 06 I just think its too realistic of a depiction of an action that's supposed to be abstract and weird. the second type is make or break based on the effects its been given, which can vary a lot. in sa1 it does the flashing thing and is just a blurrily textured sphere, which I think gives an effect closest to the classic games that I like but also probably wouldn't work great in a game with higher graphical fidelity. since unleashed its kind of just been a glowing blue ball which I don't get. why is it glowing. but whatever its at least acceptable and then the forces jumpball comes around and takes the second type, keeps the weird glow, and also adds a few of these weird giant spikes. my problem with the spikes is that they don't look good from all angles, and even from the right angles they just stick out way too much for how few of them there are. like you can only really see them clearly from a purely side view in 2d, otherwise they just look kind of off because they only span one axis of the ball for some reason. they make sonic look like an angle grinder lol. its just a weird effect that has strayed so far away from the jumpball in the classic games. the jumpball in the roblox game I play at the end is kind of a way to show the spikes in the jumpball correctly, which is why I like it. the forces jumball shows just like, 5 really weird super protruding spikes in its jumpball, while the roblox game has them far more jagged and close to the body that makes it look way less awkward. it also has a lot of really solid texture work the forces one lacks. I think I like the frontiers mod because it keeps some elements of both older and newer games. the base of it is just a simple textured blue ball like sonic adventure, but it also has effects and flourishes like some minor lightning and glow that modernize it (without looking overly glowy like unleashed or gens). I think that this simpler approach of just a well textured ball with some cool motion effects to sell it without overdoing it is the way to go.

@@BillehBawb I think I've always viewed the Forces jumpball as a stylized take. Like having the spikes out represents the lethality of Sonic's curled form. I think it looks much better in the spindash though, as that is much more of an offensive move, and the effects given to it better convey that than his jump would. I did played Sonic Overdrive and there is something that you didn't know. If your in the air from a spring, you can do the air tricks that is based on Sonic Advance which is there are two air tricks. There is a drop dash that makes you go even faster and you can spin dash but the Spin Dash Animation was curl up Spin Dash which is pretty cool. Also there is a bounce bracelet only if your in the air and light-speed dash only if there are line of rings (Also I can't tell you what controls are so anyone reply what are the controls for any of those).
