Hey Billy, just a big thanks man. Just got back from first sea fishing trip, caught a couple dab and a flounder. Very happy, watching your vids has been so handy and a big inspiration to get out there. I'll be making up your flatfish rigs for next trip as I did have the smaller dab swallow the hook even though it was a circle . Also was wondering about mini dingle dangles, pre baited at home so as to have less mess in the field. Anyhoo all the best and tight lines
@Billyfishing_watchАй бұрын
Hi bud. Glad you like the videos! There's no reason to be pre-bait the rigs. It's just one lug for each hook. on a piece of braid and a bent hook, with no point on it. Just the same as you would do with a normal hook. Thanks Brother 😁👌

Hi Chris. I was looking into getting the casting special! Looks like a very nice real indeed 😁👌
@chrisharrison9220Ай бұрын
@Billyfishing_watch I would have another one, but I can't justify it as my 525s are running sweet as a nut as they say but the fathom cs are honestly on a new level again slick super smooth casting and magnets works in revers. When you turn the nob thingy it pushes a cover over the top of magnets.

top man, "reel"y good vid... will let myself out,, seen a couple of greenland shark in the small nets we have out for the lumpfish, they are totally amazing beasties. they are left to rot for months to get all the toxins out, cut into cubes then sold as food :D its actually (not)as bad as it sounds if you ignore the smell and i do eat it now and again. we took some of it to USA for a rugby tour. the after dinner drinking games (compulsory rugby banter) had americans gagging and throwing up everywhere. great fun !

Nice reels, great videos. Found your channel couple weeks ago and already adopted your knots on my spinning setups. Im looking to get into surf fishing myself on the coast of germany or denmark which would be light fishing in your "world" i guess. Could you make a video for absolute beginners on what tackle to use; or on what paramaters to look for in rods and reels ?
@Billyfishing_watchАй бұрын
Hi, and thank you! Unfortunately the tackle I use comes from the UK. And you will probably not be able to get your hands on it that easily. But just a standard three-piece surf rod and a fixed spool reel will get the job done every day. If you go into my playlist you will find lots of videos from Denmark about fishing for flatfish from the Danish beaches, plenty of tips and tricks in there that will get you started 😁👌

Those penn torques 550 quid each holly molly !!!!! Billy you must be a millionare wowser!!!! They are nice though !!!!
@Billyfishing_watchАй бұрын
Hi Jozse. Yes they are expensive! But they will do big reel stuff! If you fish and circumstances where you might come across the fish into triple figures. These little reels will fill the gap, I get that fish at your feet! This is why they have this price tag. Thanks Brother 👌
@christopherryan2628Ай бұрын
Thanks for another great video Billy. 😎 I’m relatively new to multipliers; I have Penn casting specials with 20lb varivas sport and tapered shock leaders - mostly fish the Bristol Channel. Would you always recommend braid or are there circumstances where mono would be the better choice? Are you more likely to get wind knots / bird nests with braid?
@Billyfishing_watchАй бұрын
Hi Christopher. These days I fish exclusively braid! What you hear about the line and abrasion is inaccurate, I have never had any trouble with it. I have a video on how to load your reel, just follow the link. Thanks Brother 👌

Great video Billy, been using Daiwa multipliers all my life, their smaller multipliers are great for heavy shore work. The Saltigas, Saltists etc. Congrats on that superb Cod last video, most other videos with titles like "cod bashing", etc seem to only feature codling, and small ones at that. Bill, have you any plans to target Hake, or ling from very deep water? All the best brother and keep safe.

I Love my 7ht mag Millionaires they are great for me with my Century Tip Tornado's on the Fylde coast in the UK. Mostly clean sandy beaches. They like you say cast like a dream. Great Mag system that is useful when night fishing. Been toying with trying 60lb 4 strand braid on one and sticking with 18lb mono with shock leader on the other. Not sure how that would pan out, do you have any problems using braid on a multiplier when casting hard.

In South Africa grinder rods and reels ( spinning rods&reels) have simply exploded with the overhyped marketing. From several brands there is literaly over hundred different versions for rock and surf fishing. This as resulted in demise of multiplyer rods and reels.

Hi, I am aware of the popularity of the grinder reel. But people still use multipliers for slid baits, and drown fishing. Thanks Brother 😁👌

Whether using multipliers or fixed spools do you prefer Penn over Shimano??
