cindy86 - I can't say I hate today's youth music, cindy... I will admit I don't really listen to the music of today... I find myself very lost in the music of my own youth... but I do know that today's youth music will be as important to today's youth in 30 years as music like this is to me now... one day you'll understand, and I hope you won't be as judgmental then as you seem to be now.

My son has Cerebral Palsy and is 17 now. He can't walk talk or eat, but I couldn't love him any more than I do. When this song came on one day when we were together, it summed it up perfectly. "I don't need clever conversation. I just need someone I can talk to". This is my song to my son Fischer. Its our song

Hola.

Don't go changing to try and please me You never let me down before, mmm Don't imagine you're too familiar And I don't see you anymore I would not leave you in times of trouble We never could have come this far, mmm I took the good times, I'll take the bad times I'll take you just the way you are Don't go trying some new fashion Don't change the color of your hair, mmm You always have my unspoken passion Although I might not seem to care I don't want clever conversation I never want to work that hard, mmm I just want someone that I can talk to I want you just the way you are I need to know that you will always be The same old someone that I knew Oh, but what will it take till you believe in me The way that I believe in you? I said I love you, that's forever And this I promise from the heart, mmm I couldn't love you any better I love you just the way you are, right I don't want clever conversation I never want to work that hard, mmm I just want someone that I can talk to I want you just the way you are

Sometimes you just put Conspiracies “on the shelf” until there is absolute proof one way or another, especially if they don’t matter. Some of us were alive through the entire Beatles era, so there is that.

Billy Joel write this for his first wife and not long afterwards, they divorced. He refused to play it live for many years. He also realized shortly after that it seemed to be a curse for him: dedicating songs (writing them) for certain loved ones, said they always would split (much like Taylor Swift’s music). So. Good luck on your marriage. I’m sure divorce isn’t in your future. 😂

Bangers? I'm not gonna be that old grumpy asshole that is always on your ass to remind you its "carefully structured artwork" or some shit but if there was one word I could describe a real good song, whether it be happy, sad, nostalgic, depressing, angry, or anything. Maybe not bangers. This songs lyrics and meaning are pretty happy, but the song itself sounds pretty sad/nostalgic. The drums play a big part. I think the best word to describe this song would be "creation"

Explore the rest of his catalogue, especially those that are album songs and not just well-known hits. However, if just starting, the hits are a good springboard. I suggest "Piano Man" and make sure you find the full version (for some reason my CD copy they shortened it and cut out two verses). Also suggest "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant", "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)" and "She's Always a Woman" as starters.

Hola.

Agreed - as a child of the 1970s (born 1964) I think that is why I will always love the music of that era - the songs you often don't even know that you know till you find yourself singing the lyrics in response to a situation.... Don't go changing, to try and please me You never let me down before Don't imagine you're too familiar And I don't see you anymore I would not leave you in times of trouble We never could have come this far I took the good times, I'll take the bad times I'll take you just the way you are Don't go trying some new fashion Don't change the color of your hair You always have my unspoken passion Although I might not seem to care I don't want clever conversation I never want to work that hard I just want someone that I can talk to I want you just the way you are I need to know that you will always be The same old someone that I knew What will it take till you believe in me The way that I believe in you I said I love you and that's forever And this I promise from the heart I couldn't love you any better I love you just the way you are I don't want clever conversation I never want to work that hard I just want someone that I can talk to I want you just the way you are

One of the critics is himself. I think this is one of most perfectly done songs. Chords, Lyrics, Fender Rhodes, on and on....but in the Wiki page said he didn't like it. Not that uncommon. Some masterpieces people write and don't think that much of them.

Hola.

It’s probably true. Because Paul MacCartney is on record in his autobiography. Claiming this is the one song he wished he wrote. He loves it so much. And I think, like a lot of people probably notice, Just The Way You Are, sounds very much like a Beatles song. Or a McCarney’s band, Wing’s song.

@@waboom248 He actually did complement Brian Wilson on the song "The Little Girl I Once Knew". "This is the greatest! Turn it up, turn it right up. It's GOT to be a hit. It's the greatest record I've heard for weeks. It's fantastic. I hope it will be a hit. It's all Brian Wilson. He just uses the voices as instruments. He never tours or anything. He just sits at home thinking up fantastic arrangements out of his head. Doesn't even read music. You keep waiting for the fabulous breaks. Great arrangement. It goes on and on with all different things. I hope it's a hit so I can hear it all the time." - John Lennon

I respect love. It's a very powerful emotion that comes from the motions of the elements of time that God created. The matters of time and luck. Q & A says a products innovation can't be rushed because haste makes waste. Otherwise it's just slammed together without trust while the impact occurs and subsides.
