One of the most beautiful songs ever written. As a 13 yo young boy in 1977, it touched me very, very deeply. It touches me even more today as a 56 yo man. The emotion, the memories, the feelings, touched me in a way that I still can't quite explain. I Love the BeeGees! I always have, and I always will, Even back in the late 70's and early 80's, when it wasn't cool, I never waivered. Thank You Robin, Barry and Maurice. Your Music will never be forgotten!!!

How deep is your love? How deep is your love? I really mean to learn 'Cause we're living in a world of fools Breaking us down when they all should let us be We belong to you and me I believe in you You know the door to my very soul You're the light in my deepest, darkest hour You're my savior when I fall And you may not think I care for you When you know down inside that I really do And it's me you need to show How deep is your love? One of the most Talented groups ever. They created a whole music genre. Their writing, singing and producing surpasses ANY music of today. Today all you need to do is talk. You don't have to be vocally talented. Infact you don't even have to be able carry a tune ! Non music talent has taken over the industry. The talents of the BEE GEES will ALWAYS surpass the garbage that is shoved down the publics throat today as music. Songwriting, singing, producing. With over 1,000 songs written, their magic will live on forever. 💙💙💙

At the end of the Sixties the Gibb Brothers was my favorite band. (not Beatles or Stones!) But I don't understand not one word, not one line of the Lyrics! The Music alone was the spirit that fascinate me, that take me in an other world - since today. And now, when I hear this "old hits" my eyes get wet und some tears are looking outside my eyes. One of the first LPs who turned on my DUAL in 1971 was of the BeeGees. And now I am looking for my favorite hit of the Gibb Brothers in this age (for my wife!): I can see nobody (sorry for my scool english, I am a very old german grandfather) Similar feeling in those times I get by hearing "Tommy" by THE WHO. (Woodstock!) It's always only the music (and some words I understand). Or PROCUL HARUM - and some other bands. At that time, weekly new releases top hits in different music directions.

+aniretakDB007 Yes. I bought this 45-single when I was 19. My father heard it when I turned it at full volume on my 40 Watt Lavayette. He was always listening to 'accordeon music' and some 'humpapa'. Since he heard this song - he bought all the albums of the BeeGees. And Hotel California was his favorite song alltime - it was played 3 years ago at his funeral. So kids have an impact on the musical taste of their parents.

This song came on in a restaurant last week when I’d just finished lunch and was at the counter to pay. Place wasn’t too crowded and the staff just began to sing along and myself and some other customers joined in and we had a moment. We were a diverse group in age and race and we actually sounded decent and we sang different parts together and just had this happy slice of time singing to a great song.

I was only 6 years old when this song was released. I remember listening to this song on my tiny record player every night before going to bed. Those were such good memories. So glad I was born in 1971. ❤

My love for my wife is very deep. I want our love to be forever. Once we were in a dinner in a fancy place and this violinist started playing this tune, I instantly picked it up from the first verses and sang along. We looked each other as I sang and we both started crying. It was all so natural and beautiful. I carry this moment with me in a very special place in my heart.

I randomly heard a live musician Today as well, too... It was in Madison Square Park NYC, and he played it on the Xylophone. It transcended all the noise of the bustling city and I started crying. I've been single my whole life & hope one day I find my person.
@rogersilveira60368 ай бұрын
@@kansasart5912 People always feel tempted to responding to a comment like yours like "ah, your soul mate is out there waiting for you...". Truth is we never know. And, yes, having someone you truly love by your side is a wonderful thing, it's beyond words. But I do believe in peace and contentment in solitude too. Loving yourself first and being happy about life around you is a must in my opinion. Hope you can appreciate that feeling. And then, finding that someone can come naturally. Don't push yourself on that. It can lead to wrong choices. We're always being pushed by society to fulfil certain pre determined roles. Getting married, having children, buying a house, etc. Those things may come in life. But make sure that all happens to you naturally and not at any cost to please expectations other have upon you.

Listening to this song I see in my minds eye, my mom cleaning the house on a beautiful summer afternoon. The breeze coming through the kitchen window, the wind blowing her hair slightly as she sang along. Thanks for the special memory. RIP Mom.
