If your clip is very choppy after doing this, you can just leave out "enhanced better". For me I only had to use Optical flow. Still... Amazing Billy

As a rule of thumb, when using optical flow, you should aim to use speeds which are a neat fraction of the original. IE: 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5 etc. This will ensure you're using the maximum number of 'real' frames possible. Also, the 'SpeedWarp' motion estimation is a step up from enhanced better, but it's very very slow.
@aq75804 жыл бұрын
fractions of original??plz explain

I've been faking 120 FPS with my EOS R using Resolve's new "SPEED WARP" for a while now and it's better than anything else out there... by far! It does take a while to render though. "Enhanced Better" works a lot of the time, but can introduce artifacts sometimes. Speed Warp is the way to go if you have the time.

The most important aspect of acheiving this effect with 6Ofps is knowing what and how to shoot for slow motion. For example if we want to shoot a person running and slow them down and know that it'll work when we get it back to the edit we need the 'angle' to be SLO:MO friendly. A subject moving towards you or moving away from you will work everytime but a subject moving across the frame left to right or vice versa will not. Optical Flow has been around for years in Adobe After Effects and it has always struggled with latteral movement. Likewise a ball bouncing up and down will work if the angle is right but get the angle wrong and you just wasted everyone's time.

@@BillyRybka Canon FD mount lenses were used back in the day on their 35MM film cameras. I've kept mine over the years and use them on my GH5, with an adapter. Because there was no HD in those days... they produce a slightly soft cinematic image with pastel like colors (slightly low sat.)

@@BillyRybka yeah im learning fusion, i see its relly useful for mostly everything! im only familiar with nodes in color, but i think i gonna catch the workflow soon!!! Really Davinci Resolve is awesome, and the thing i most like is the GPU aceleration optimization, i have an 1080 and renders really fast compared to media encoder or premiere pro, but in premiere i have easy transitions presets that i do not know at the moment how to recreate in fusion, and im really like 8/10 in after effects skills so i like for the moment Resolve + aftter effects workflow, and is not bad for me :) keep going with the Tuts, are very well appreciated
