Its a waste of time. He's been playing for years and its his passion. If you didn't grow up with it like him you will not become him. Its a big mistake and I am telling you coming from experience as I have sold off numerous instruments after thinking I was some how going to be come one of them or at least be as good as them and it will never happen. The guitar will become something you have to dust of all the time.

The song is, "Science of Fear" by The Temper Trap. They have studio and live version videos of the song, including an acoustic version. Their version Live at BBC would be my pick to get a good grasp of the song from. The second is "Lift" by Poets of the Fall. They have better-known songs, but this one I feel would fit your style more. Hope you will at least give these two songs a quick listen. Peace.
