Canadian Ryan Reynolds asked Canadian Celine Dion to do this song, when she was in mourning from the death of her husband and brother in the same week. It was healing for her and a great song that has deep meaning. Celine credits Ryan for helping her get through it all by not giving up and he kept asking her until she said yes. Ryan is hilarious as well so the ending is so perfect. Love them both, loved this reaction.

This song was written for the movie by a talented but not very widely known songwriter. It's about deadpool finding life after Vanessa and their unborn baby die in the Deadpool 2 movie. They had the song decided on but could not find anyone to sing it. Sent in to Celine Dion as a hail mary and didn't really think she would do it. But for Celine it also has a special meaning as the words in this song gave her strength after her husband died. She found herself growing stronger and finally able to move forward living her life after kind of internalizing the lyrics so she agreed to sing it and agreed to the video and everything. Ryan Reynolds was also going through loss at the time so his letter and the song really hit her.
