From the UK 🇬🇧. I’m a black Brit that grew up with Queen’s music. I’ve been watching a lot of reactions to Queen some guys are like you. Genuine, eager and open to listening to something completely new to them. This is your journey. No other human being can define the confines of your journey but you. Unfortunately there are always some miserable people out there that want company therefore they try and tear you down. I know it will be hard but try and ignore them. When I meet people like that, I just thank the Lord I’m not them. Imagine the kind of life they are living. Would like to be them............? Please enjoy the journey you’re embarking on. As Freddie would say, “ Ride on “ 👍👌😀

Awesome reaction. A lot of Queen's songs have that feel good effect on people and thats proof that the members aren't just legends, but revered as rock and roll royalty/Gods. Guitarist Brian May in case your wondering, uses a sixpence piece (English coin) as a guitar pick, it helps contribute to its sound and regular picks were then and still are too flexible/flimsy. The coin, his naturally curly hair (its still that length today, only white now) and his red special guitar (which he and his father actually made together out of odds and ends from their house and garage) are his trademarks. Queen still stand up today because they sound just as good or even better live alongside their studio recordings cause of their pure talent and even now their works are a breath of fresh air. Queen's music is so diverse, timeless and put the "rage" in outrageous! I highly recommend 39, white queen, "killer queen" , "who wants to live forever",tear it up, "love of my life", show must go on, "seven seas of rye", "radio gaga", I want to break free, "somebody to love" (live Montreal 1981 is the best rendition), "under pressure", "these are the days of our lives", "crazy little thing called love", and hundreds more. I've heard their works before in passing through other media, but once I saw the movie Bohemian Rhapsody regarding quality music, I felt like the wool had been lifted from my eyes and the cotton taken from my ears. I cannot recommend the movie enough! its a beautifully made family portrait of the band, telling how they got started, broke music barriers, totally went the distance and made music history! Rami Malek completely deserved every award he got for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury and believe it or not, Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor consulted/produced with making the film, mentored their younger doppelgängers and are really happy with the end result, and gave it their gold seal of approval. have fun!

@@CBGB_1977 Lol when they performed in concerts yes. This is NOT in front of an audience. This is a proper music video. And you can clearly see him turn away from the mic couple of times. See Fat Bottomed Girls, Another One Bites The Dust, Save Me, etc. Also, they did an entire set, twice, lipsyncing in front of a proper audience. In 1984 and 1986 in Montreux(it's here on youtube), so it's not like it never happened, but that has nothing to do with this.

pipey61 My intenion was to say that many bands like Queen did hate playing on a television programs to a pre-recorded track. But this is a promotional “video” put together by the label with the band. The promotional is there to “travel” for the bands for use on televion programs. But if a band is actually there they prefer to play live. This is still the case for many musicians who insist on playing live for shows like SNL. (Jack White, Tame Impala, etc) so their performance is authentic.

Brian May on guitar. He made his guitar with his Dad with parts around his house growing up. It isca!led The Red Special. Freddie Mercury is the Lead singer, Brian May on Guitar. John Deacon on Bass guitar and Roger Taylor on Drums. They all wrote songs. Each member of Queen wrote songs that were number one hits. Brian has PHD in astrophysics . He is also know as Dr Brian May . Freddie went to Art schoo.l. Roger studied Biology and John studied Engineering before they Queen . Freddie died in November of 91 due to complications from AIDS. John retired from the band in 1997. Roger and Brian still rock out as Queen with Adam Lambert. They are touring this summer.

These 4 chaps each wrote #1 hits. Brian May built his own guitar, Roger sang while playing drums, and John Deacon came up with that iconic base line of Another one bites the dust. They did their own harmonies (no backup singers), and of course there was no autotune back then. And Freddie, well, he was and always will be the best Male rock vocalist EVER.

My mother was bi-polar. She said this song represented her manic phases so perfectly, it gave her goosebumps. The build up at the begining...the feeling of the manic episode rising. Then BAM, it hits, and everything is amazing, euphoric. Music sounds richer, your vision is clearer, the sex is explosive. Nothing can stand in your way, nothing can stop you. And then, the end of the song represents the end of the mania, the slid towards a depressive episode. She even pointed out that the way his voice echoes at the end perfectly vocalizes the sense of unreality that accompanies the end of a manic episode. I developed bi-polar in my late 30's. Now that I know what manic episodes feel like, I can understand the visceral connection she made between the song and the mania. Now I'm the one who gets the goosebumps.

Brian has a solo in all songs. The singer is Freddie Mercury. It’s said that he had a 4 octave range. The drummer is Roger Taylor who also has a great voice & could be a lead singer if he had wanted to be. The bass is played by John Deacon. Please watch Bohemian Rhapsody the music video, watch Under Pressure Live at Wembly, watch We Are the Champions, Killer Queen, White Queen (live at Hammersmith, A Night at the Odeon), Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Somebody To Love, Love of My Life (in Rio), and more. Freddie was gift to us, he belonged to all of us. So is Queen. They were all geniuses. Lastly, you MUST watch Queen at Live Aid in 1985. You will be blown away. I have watched it so many times. I cry, get chills, and just sit in awe. Unreal. It’s been named as the greatest live performance of all time. You won’t regret watching it. You will get it, get it why Queen is the greatest. And finally, watch all of the songs I listed above, hell, any Queen song, vocals only/acapella. You will be speechless. They make me cry. Hearing their songs vocals only is almost other-worldly. It shows their near perfect harmonies, and Freddie’s unparalleled vocal talent and vocal range. Just unreal. Welcome to the fandom of Queen.
