Biman Bangladesh DC-10 *FULL FLIGHT* Pleasure Flight Birmingham Airport - Last Passenger Flights

Biman Bangladesh Airlines ran scenic flights around Birmingham, UK to mark the end of an era. The one hour pleasure flights for enthusiasts ran on Saturday 21st February, Sunday 22nd February and Monday 23rd February 2014, with 3 flights running each day - 09:00, 12:00 and 15:00.
I couldn't let this oppurtunity go, so I booked myself a window seat priced at £150 on the Sunday 12:00 flight.
This video shows the whole flight; pre-boarding, outside shots, boarding, taxi, takeoff, the scenic flight, descent, landing and taxi back to the gate, with a quick look in the flight deck too.
It marks the last such journey for the three-engine plane, which first went into service in 1971. DC-10s have been used as passenger planes for over 40 years, and continue to be employed for cargo and military use. It is extremely sad to see this iconic aircraft head off to be scrapped, but I think the pleasure flights at Birmingham were a great way to celebrate its history.
We departed Birmingham International Airport on runway 15 at 12:40 and arrived at around 13:40. The aircraft reg is S2-ACR. I was sat in seat 12A.

In 2000 I was flying from Düsseldorf to Newark in a Continental Airlines DC-10. I'm really glad that I had the experience flying in such a wonderful airplane, will never forget that. Farewell!

Good video. Did you note how the leading edge slat kept varying the slat gap, from right after take-off through climb-out? I don't recall this from other DC-10s, looks like backlash in the mechanism "giving" under varying air load, LOL.

Wow!!! That camera for a regular consumer model is impressive...I first noticed when you zoomed on the flight status board about 20 seconds in. Is it flash memory, or does it take the small DV tapes? Either way...it looks great!!! ;-)

I did some research on the biman DC -10 many moons ago when the chief engineer imamul majid was in office. I have also loaded cargo on the biman 777 which I do on and off if I am sent to T4 LHR
