My father was a mines inspector for the North West. Sutton Manor was one of the pits he inspected, as was Bold Colliery, which may tie in the the bold blacksmith griffin slayer and the subsequent Bold family. I am enjoying catching up with your older bimbles.

Brilliant video, I live in Bold and the myth I was told donkey's years ago was as a prize for slaying the Griffin, the skin of the Griffin was to be stretched out and all the land it covered was be given to him 'John the Bold' hence the area known as Bold.

Love the video bimble. Just a small thing. The name Dream came about through Jamue asking us about the darkness underground and we said for us being in darkness for 8 hours that light becomes a Dream. He loved this as coming from the Mediterranean he said he took light for granted. Loving the videos keep up the great work.

Another great video Kieran. My dad and grandparents are buried at St.Nicholas close by where you were standing, and my daughter and husband live close by where you finished at Farnworth.

Just brilliant Kieran love your sense of humour , how do you find all these cycle tracks around towns and it seems you know where your going having never been there before
@BimblismUK Жыл бұрын
I wish i had chance to go on these rides and memorize them. I study several maps. Open street maps has a cycle overlay, bing lets you look at the ordinance survey on its maps and i also use google maps to check whether its going over a mountain. The rest is good luck. Ha

@bimblism Love these videos, although I’m surprised you didn’t visit St Bart’s around the corner from the Dream in Rainhill. That’s an unusual architecture I thought would have been right up a Church fancying Bimbler’s street! Hopefully on your Rainhill episode 🤞

Lovely video Kieran but I wish you hadn't planted the thought of The Dream looking somewhat like a ... cough ... appendage. You then went on to discuss various shafts and I lost my concentration for a while. I had to rewind/replay. Cheers 👍🏼

Each time I stop can take an hour with the talking bits and the different shots. Don't get the miles in on filming days. Ha
