Well done Kieran, the Wirral was my home for many years, initially in Meols, later migrating to the central part of the peninsula around Burton. A beautiful part of the world with an interesting history dating way back to Roman times. I live in Canada now and each of your bimbles helps me relive many experiences in the North West. Keep them coming mate, you provide tons of insight into each of your adventures.

Great video. Thanks for showing the Wirral again. I was born on the Wirral in 68. Born in Pensby. Born in my home in Nelson Drive. My uncle built those houses in the area in the 60s. One of the streets is named after my family. Shearman Road. Keep up the Bimbles. 😊

By Brow Road, you were right over the top of the underground air raid shelter complex that is beneath bidston Hill. It is in a similar grid pattern to the one in tranmere opposite cammell lairds.

What a trek. Like the view from the hill. You were right by Hamilton Square at the start. Gorgeous buildings made from the local sandstone and a crazy big tower above the train station.

Hi Kieran. Another interesting video. I lived in Bidston for a while. Nice place. The observatory was home to the most complicated analogue mechanical computer ever built which was used to publish maritime tidal charts for every port in the world from 1929 until the 60s when it finally became obsolete.

The Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory is no more. It shut down in the 1990s and everything shifted to Liverpool University. Various plans went in to convert it to flats. I was able to go in one day as I wanted some obscure weather info, staff showed me around. The rest of the area is not so good, high crime rate and ferrol families committing constant crime. Loads of drug users and single mothers with multiple children to unknown people etc. Some of it is a no-go zone and whole streets are watched by cameras its that bad.

Another great video, I've lived in Wirral all my life and you could have dropped in for a cuppa as you rode very close to where I live. Bidston hill is where we played as kids and have many a story to tell of the air raid bunkers and the cock fighting ring to Bidston Hall. There is so much history in the Wirral you'll have to visit again and include The priory and Mockbegger wharf and the smugglers, to the many lighthouses used for navigation plus much more. Looking forward to your next Bimble :)

How ironic been to the wirral (clatterbridge). Everyday for 3 months apart from weekends. Would've been strange to pass you on the Bimble. As usual another classic episode kieran. Peace-love-thank god for the wirral peninsula.🚲🍮

Thanks mate, the Wirral is a stunning looking peninsula "almost an Island" but not quite. My favorite band in the whole wide world are from the Wirral and they're "The Coral." I'd love to live there but I feel I'm getting on to much now. I would think that growing up there for a kid is simply magical and that there'dd be so many memories to share.

Not knowing what your talking about and the history is important. You where riding on Lord Leverhulme old driveways. Lord Leverhulme from Bolton the l Estate still own most of the land Wirral. Leverhume model Village Port sunlight. And Thornton hough . Bumble is so cringey just say ounce and ending every start.
