This is brilliant, Thanks for the detail, Because of your video I was able to easily code my HU-NBT head unit successfully, I have a cheat sheet with f15 codes if you want to add it to your website although I'm sure you already have them. The only thing I am struggling with is that I was able to code usb video with codex on my front unit but not be able to get it right on my rear entertainment system. Not sure if you would be able to point me in the right direction. or if it's even possible. Keep up the good work and thanks for making these videos, I feel comfortable doing the coding myself purely because of it.

Along with four speaker fault codes I have B7F87F & B7F8AA stored. I’ve never done any coding on the car but have had the engine and g/box re mapped a couple of years ago. Audio lost happens sometimes. You need to code CiC and it will work again

Exchange of the ECU will be the same on F and G series. But activation of the navigation function itself in headunit will be different and depend of the heaunit type

Cheatsheet will not help in your case. If cruise control is not present from the factory then some hardware modifications are needed (ecu replacement) and only then coding via FA

Of course it’s better if your laptop has built in RJ45 output. But new laptops do not have that any more. So usbc to RJ45 is only solution. But be a are that some RJ45 usb adapters might not be reliable. How to understand? You start flashing bmw and if it fails, then you know that current adapter was not the best one )

When you read the VO (16.13 min in) it shows the Vehicle Profile on the right hand screen and Active in green next to to the FA folder on the left hand screen. Neither of these are visible when i read my VO? I can expand the FA folder and see all the information (and edit it) but not sure why i do not see active next to the FA and the Profile information?

Coding is required after installation, but if VO coding is done, can each camera be used independently? Yes you can FDL code every single parameter if you know those. But VO coding is faster (if you have retrofits done, then it might be an issue)

E-sys 3.30 error when trying to Read FDL: Not enough memory allowed - please re-start E-SYS with more memory. Any suggestions how to fix?

Not enough RAM memory either on laptop or assigned for esys in the launcher.

@@BimDoc Laptop has 16GB, and whatever I put in launcher custom, max java mem in logs is ~1.2GB. Reinstalled everything from scratch, still the same issue, tested with different java jre versions, even tried replacing E-Sys jre with 64bit version, then it passes Read Coding Data in CAFD but when I click Edit FDL (FEM_BODY on F30 LCI, ENTRYNAV), it just spins windows cursor circle indefinitely, waited for more than 5mins and nothing happened. Connecting via ENET cable

Resolved, E-sys run as administrator and memory on default, was able to code in Start/Stop memory

Instead of having the car running can you just hook up a battery maintainer/charger whilst coding?

Maintainer will not deliver enough power to supply all ECUs. Proper power supply is needed in that case (same as in using in ALPINA gearbox software flashing video)

hi Veladimir, it’s Asim from England, I didn’t have sat nav in my f31, 13reg, i bought 606 same as yours, Someone said “edit FA and make FA Correct for ENTRYNAV (NOT ENTRY) and then VO Code (Not FDL Code) Head Unit and Kombi.” Now i added config file which was missing, then edited added 606 and changed production date to 1115 saved and coded again everything came on, with DAb, also added enhanced Bluetooh for music transfer which i didn’t have, now sat nav is greyed out, i don’t have emulator plugged in though, i have ordered it but its not arrived. I want to know does it stay greyed out until emulator is plugged in or have i done anything wrong. I can invite you for a remote session .

Entrynav do not have a patch or hack. So emulator or OEM fsc code. No other options.

REM is only present on the vehicles where FEM is present. You will not find REM on vehicles with BDC for example. Because BDC = FEM + REM
