I want to say thank you to Nelson and the whole BimmerTech crew, although my car had the Harmon Kardon package but it still didn't sound as good as my f30 that had the BimmerTech kit and I was right after the installation I got my car back and my G20 completely different. The sound with the BimmerTech speakers and Subs is what the factory speaker should sound like for such a luxury car. Now I am in love with my vehicle sounds system thanks to Nelson, Chad and the crew!!!!!! I can't wait to do my X5 as well.

Great Video and awesome products by BimmerTech! One question though on this video: The video does not show any disconnecting of either the 12V or 48V battery or disconnecting of the CAN bus during the speaker install. I heard that needs to be done to install the speakers - is that true?

Hi Michael! Thanks a lot, glad you like Chaz's work ;) Correct, we always recommend disconnecting the battery, deactivating the 48V electrical system and detaching the plug connection of the CAN bus. The written installation manual that comes with each order includes step-by-step, illustrated instructions on how to do that in your vehicle.

If i have a Hi-Fi audio system on my (EUR) G20 and i install the Alpha One speakers, do i need tot install another Alpha One amplifier also?

You don't have to exchange your HI-Fi amp, but it's definitely advised for even better sound clarity, power and a possibility to add customized tune sets tailored to your G20 chassis and your musical taste.

If you have a factory HK system you can't install our amp. Unfortunately, it uses different connections.

Does this system sound better than the HK you took out?

It absolutely does! The owner of this G20 previously had an F30 with factory HK that he replaced with a full Alpha One system and as a matter of fact most of the speakers moved to the G20 were actually removed from that car. It's the best plug and play upgrade you can get for a HK system without doing a major audio overhaul. Our colleague CJ at the office in Orlando just had a set installed in his F15 X5 (also factory HK system) and after the installation didn't even reconnect the two stealth subs that he has in the trunk claiming the dynamic range improved so much that he doesn't feel the need to reconnect the subs.

BimmerTech that’s great! I actually have the factory Hifi sound system in my G20 right now but my old f30 had HK which I absolutely loved so I just wanted to know if this alpha one system is better than the HK which means that it’s going to sound AMAZING in the g20

it sounds 10X better, I've compared it with my Buddies G30 with the Bowers&Wilkins Speaker option and both of us couldn't say which one was better it was that good!

BimmerTechCorson really the most important thing in a sound system for me is heavy bass (but no distortion or rattle) because i primarily listen to hip hop and rap. Could I expect loud and punchy bass from alpha one?

@@pasma1983 Sound system is more than just a speaker set. You can't compare two audio systems based on the speakers only. We would be very surprised to hear someone wasn't happy with the Alpha One speakers, but if your friend really has our speakers in his car and he doesn't like how they sound compared to his original BMW speakers, ask him contact us directly.
