As for the compatibility - check it yourself on our website. Just type in the VIN in the top bar and see the search results :) The functions are not usable with touchscreen :)

For those that have a HUD, and LOVE the GPS turn by turn showing up on the HUD, does this product convey the Google Maps navigation to the HUD, or will we have to continue using the iDrive GPS to benefit from the HUD?

@@bimmer-techdang, I’d probably buy one of these if it integrated with the hud right, but for the price it’s at it makes no sense to buy when it strips out a core feature :/

That will never be possible! U simply just "mirror" your iphone/android device (its not really mirror but more like a very simple mirror of the compatible apps) to your bmw screen. So your bmw doesnt really know that your google maps or whatever is running! You will need to use your bmw navigation if you like to see the information on your hud! Thats not a "mmi problem" My car has built in apple car play and i also miss the information on my hud.. it is what it is.. cant change it 😉

@@ulqin2008 not for the hud but i believe that their guage upgrade offers all the carplay etc right in the dash so it would be right there. additionally seems like a silly reason not to get something like this when the directions would just be a glance away on the idrive carplay system

I would always suggest the Pro since it will give you the most features, but if you don't think you would need them, the Prime works too!

If an MMI Prime or Pro is available for your BMW (you can check with the last seven digits of your VIN on our website or call/chat with our Sales team), all of them come with a bunch of options in the audio submenu including an EQ! So you'll be all set. Don't forget to look into our Alpha One line of speakers and amps to REALLY take advantage of the EQ. ;)

I got a 2023 mini countryman, it has wireless apple carplay but no android auto, will this provide wireless android auto? And will my touch screen work or just the idrive knob ? Also, if i reverse will the camera pop up like it normally would?

1. If you go for the MMI, you will have Android Auto 2. It will work with your iDrive knob 3. In-built devices should work normally Cheers!

I’m curious too know if it effects the HUD? I have a x1 I don’t care for maps on the HUD. But I do like the digital speedometer on the HUD and ability to skip music. Does this take the HUD function off completely?

Top view camera and side view camera will only work with iDrive mode, so if you switch from MMI :)

The box consists of both Android Auto and CarPlay, so you can go ahead and order it, if only it's compatible with your Mini :)

Yes our MMI Prime and PRO allow you to have wireless Android Auto, although for mirroring it is through a wired connection and yes it is a plug and play product ;)
