One of the things you need to do is to learn the binary digits up to ten or so that is easy - and if you want to find out what 23 is in binary say just multiply 5 by 5 to get 25 and subtract 2 from the final result looking at the last digit order - any larger number can be made by multiplying easier ones and a prime by finding the closest composite number to it that is easy then you simply have to add or subtract from the result either way
