Binaural ASMR: Over 100 Holographic Yu-Gi-Oh Cards (Rare, Ultra Rare, Secret Rare)

Hello everyone! This ASMR video features soft speaking, some whispering, tapping, some card shuffling noises, and my terrible attempts at a Brooklyn accent. Immediately after I filmed this, I found 4 more holos in a box with my Sailor Moon comics (also an upcoming video), so I know I have more, they are just sprinkled throughout boxes in my house. I collected these cards 10-13 years ago. If you are a Yugioh expert and you see any cool cards, let me know (cause I don't have a clue as to which ones are worth more, I vote with my eyes for the ones with cool/pretty art). Happy Viewing!

To be fair, you weren't entirely wrong about Kaiba saying, "I'll get that blue eyes white dragon". Toward the beginning of the series it was revealed that there were only 4 Blue Eyes Dragon cards ever printed, an absolute conundrum considering you can only play at max 3 of a card in a deck, but whatever. Point is, Kaiba had 3, and Yugi's grandfather had the 4th. Kaiba wanted that 4th one so that nobody else in the world could use it against him. So there was a small arc where Kaiba was going after the card.

It was still relatively small as far as as a story arc goes. The 4th card got ripped up. What continued was Kaiba's bitter rivalry with Yugi turned frienemyship (however that made up word is supposed to be spelled).

Janie Arledge Nah don't feel too bad. They're not worth much of anything now. I remember selling my Mirror Force for close to $30 on ebay in 2004. I just checked on Ebay; people are still asking a lot, but they actually sell for like 4 bucks lol. Anything less rare goes for 1 or 2 bucks tops.

I'm surprised at what a prodigious collector you were, Heather.. those poor little kids went against these monstrous cards. I really have to feel bad for them as Raigeki is the most annoying card in existence. If Jinzo is on the field and that is played, it's impossible to defend against. Of course, Jinzo doesn't let you play your own trap cards, so that is the tradeoff. Oh and that was an amazing impression of the Yugioh computer. I looked at another tab for a moment, and thought it was a recording.

***** There's not much to stop that. Any deck that doesn't rely on spells/traps can do fine. There's also honest, or any monster effects that destroy/bounce jinzo are your only options. The lock isn't particularly consistent though, as you have to have jinzo, plus tribute fodder, and hope to draw into both amplifier and anti-spell fragrance.

Yu-Gi-Oh was my life. I remember I had all three Egyptian God cards, I had Jinzo, Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, that one card that everyone used I can't remember the name of, the lot. I even had Dark Magician, and Dark Magician with big boobies! ((That was a reference.)) Then they were all stolen. I re-collected most of them, but have not since found another set of Egyptian Gods. Or Jinzo. Hell, most of the good ones, really. x.x

Hey heater feather! Back in the early / mid 2000s I was also really big into old school yugioh and as I was watching your video a bunch of memories came flowing back in... Those great old times :) I was so much into it for like 4 years that I still remember most of the cards names and rarity, because your collection is of old school cards (very early generations) and that's exactly the same generation that I used to collect! No doubt most of these cards have amazing artwork and beauty. I also unfortunately lost interest as the 2010s approached... However, i will always keep my cards as a valuable memory of my puberty and I see that you do the same, I appreciate it :) Now, the collection of cards you just showed has so many incredibly rare cards! Even the deepest yugioh enthusiasts that I knew back in the day would've been thirsty for some of those cards. So those cards that you have that have that shiny, grainy, whitish glimmer along with silver sparkling titles (like one of those blue eyes, jinzo , 1000 eyes, and a few others) are the secret rares that come in collector tins or games and stuff, so as you may think, it doesn't make them that rare anymore because you know you get them if you buy the tin! They're still rare though, and really pretty. I am impressed though by the golden title and smooth shine cards. Magic cylinder, ragieki , mage power (you have two Holy crap), Gemini elves, the exodia parts... Those are incredibly rare cause they can only be gotten from Booster packs where you never know what you're getting... If I remember correctly, the chances of getting any of those are around 4% on any Booster pack! Although, among the craziest cards that were ever made are mirror force and United we stand. Those two I never knew anyone that had them in ultra rare as you have them! I must have looked for them for about 3 years and the best I ever could get were those cards in common, without any shine at all, and in Japanese lol. It really didn't feel so good. Oh and by the way your magic jammer and seven tools of the bandit are gorgeous... Turns out in later generations they made common versions of those cards (as well as many others like mage power and United we stand) so they kind of ruined their uniqueness but for us that stayed in the first gens, they're the Holy grail! So yeah I hadn't remembered by yugioh cards in years but thank you so much for the warm nostalgia feelings you just gave me and of course the relaxing voice of yours:)

Did you know I have the most rare card EVAR? It's called the Heathero Feathigio card and it's perfect! The highest ranked powers that exist and ultimate power. There is absolutely no match, unless the Sammed card gets played against it, then it is prone to lower its defences. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the wooooorld!

For anybody curious about the ACTUAL name of each rarity but just can't put their finger on it, here you go; White/Black lettering, no foil - COMMON Silver lettering with no foil - RARE White/Black lettering, holographic name - SUPER Rare Gold lettering with foil - ULTRA Rare Silver lettering with foil and diagonal lining in the pictures - SECRET Rare (these are usually the most valuable, unless you have a card from an ongoing set named "Hidden Arsenal" which has one in every pack. Yeah I fucking screamed when I saw that too. In which case almost 90% of the time your Secret was worth jack SHIT. You can tell if it's from there if on the bottom right of the picture where those confusing numbers are, the first two letters that are there are HA). Silver lettering with foil and vertical and/or horizontal lining in the picture - PARALLEL Rare As one of the three (sarcasm) people who still play this game, most of your cards aren't worth all that much to be honest (in comparison to the cards out today), just because unlike other hobbies, as time goes on Yu-Gi-Oh cards LOSE value. This is because the people still buying the game are people who are still playing the game. Unlike Magic: The Gathering, the card game is taken seriously as a more mature hobby as WELL as a child's, Yu-Gi-Oh! has always been directed towards children and really never attracted serious collectors. It's always been for kids in America, unfortunately, regardless of how fun the card game is (please play it I'm lonely). And also the game only is focused around a updated, "advanced" format in which the card pool is based around a ban list that regulated the usability of the cards (i.e. banned, only one copy allowed, two copies, etc.). Sure, Konami, the owners of the game acknowledge that there is a cult following of devout competitive players, but they never will stray away from directing it from children. It is because of the fact that Konami never bothered to branch out into an older demographic during the game's infancy where the game did not have a reputation as a children's card game, that caused for the game to ultimately never attract the serious collectors older cards needed to sustain high prices. Only way you will find a serious collector is if they've been playing SINCE that time that certain card(s) were released. Admittedly some of your cards were worth a ton back then, like Jinzo, which was at least 50 to 100. But now only about half of your cards are still worth a significant amount; most of your cards are from anywhere from zip to $20+ (Raigeki). Some cards have potential to have a price hike to $20+ like Harpie's Feather Duster (depending on the ban-list, which cycles every three or four months). For those who didn't play beyond the reign of effect monsters (which was like, I don't know maybe 2003(?), NO a fucking high level and attack/defense DOES NOT mean a card is powerful or expensive. Do you really think I give a fuck if you have three - fuck it FIFTY - Blue-Eyes if I have just ONE Mirror Force set? How about Gravity Bind? What if I have Spirit Reaper on the field? All of those counters I mentioned are considered rubbish today in terms of power. TL;DR: Anybody who wants to sell it's time to sell NOW if you want to make a quick buck. But regardless of the price of a card, it will be difficult to sell since a lot of the older cards are banned so the players/collectors who will want to buy from you will be scarce. Level/rarity/attack does NOT ensure lots of $$$, because it will most of the time depend on usability today . And READ the description of the rarities I can't paraphrase that for you lmao.
