Highlights from my visit to Binder Park Zoo on June 3, 2022.
Watch a playful wrestling match between the zoo’s Black Bear brothers, see Giraffes, Zebras and Addax roaming the vast savanna in Wild Africa. There’s also Wolves, three kinds of Lemurs, Red Pandas, African Painted Dogs and more!
Binder Park is Michigan's newest major zoo, opening in 1977. In 1999, the zoo put itself on the map with the world class Wild Africa complex, and today, 23 years later, the 18 acre multi-species savanna is still the highlight of the zoo! Binder Park doesn't have an overly large collection, but does display some species not common in North American zoos, most notable both Red-capped and Black-crested Mangabeys.
Information presented in this video came from the Binder Park Zoo’s website or social media pages, or from public online articles.
