I bind my ELRS by just power cycling 3 times, then hitting bind on radio. As long as they are both on 3.x, they bind fine.

hi i got this bundle and its my first drone, i got the goggles and camera connected all fine and i have sort of a connection between the controler and drone. 4 bars come up on the controller when its powered on and my controler says telematry recovered/lost when the drone is powered on or off. But when i move any off the joystics there is nothing. do i have to set up the controls or am i missing a step or what?

I saw in alot of videos I watched that the top left switch was the one everyone used to srm but in all the videos I watched I never saw someone set on up so at first I thought it was built into the programing of the controller. But now I'm guessing it's not but u don't know how to check or how to set buttons and controls. Is there an app or website I use. Is there any videos you recommend that explain it well that could teach me please

I love to be able to repairsand fix things. I was always in to RC nitro cars but FPV gave me new skills. During the pandemic I couldn't fly and my PS3 controller battery died. So I solder a plug to the battery wires and used a 1s whoop battery for it and it worked a treat 🎉

Hey Stew, thanks for the great videos! Regarding upgrading the firmware I noticed the Avatar Goggles L quick start guide V1.1 says to download firmware “AvatarLite_Gnd_X.X.X.img.” I see this AvatarLite_Gnd firmware file, but I also see the Avatar_Gnd and Avatar_Sky files you mentioned in your video. I do not see an AvatarLite_Sky. Is there a difference in the Lite version vs the files you recommended? Thanks!

Ive connection to my radio master control just fine but i cant connect my walksnail avatar hd goggles l. Ive updated firmware on the goggles using an sd card but i cant work out how to get the files on the drone. I updated firmware using betaflight. I just cant bind the goggles. Ive almost given up trying. Hope you can help.

Hey Stew! Thanks for the videos - they've been really helpful. I'm planning to get the FPV kit (Mobula 8 + Walksnail Google L + Radio Master Pocket) as you recommended in one of your earlier videos. Could you help me clarify something before I buy? In your link to the Radio Master Pocket, I see the controller set to FCC in the purchase menu, which I understand is the standard used in the U.S. Since I'm in Finland (in the EU), should I choose LBT instead? And if so, will this affect the drone as well? Are there any other options I need to consider? Apologies for the beginner questions - this will be my first FPV kit.

thanks a lot for this video, at 1:19 min, you say put a file on the onboard board... my problem is that the mac doesn't recognise the drone. i plugged the battery, i tried different usb cables and i can't put anything into the onboard board.

Ok, so maybe the cable to the vtx is bad. Also I see the coaxial cable is partially broken. Do I have to change it?

@@Kaikarjuna oh no way that's a bummer. I've spent nearly all day yesterday trying to get this to work. I don't understand how to get the files to the drone and what button to press to bind. I can fly the drone just can't use goggles

This is the video I was looking for! Recently bought the same setup except boxer instead of pocket and I'm having heaps of fun. I am wondering however my radio signal drops before my video signal, this happens around the 100m mark. Is this normal?

no. not normal. what is your power level set to on your radio?

@@UAVfutures I tried all the powerlevels and frequency combinations, what eventually solved the issue was downloading an ELRS preset in betaflight

I'm a newbie wanting to get in the hobby and watched many of your videos. You recommend the Mobula 8 in a few videos...are there any that are a little more budget friendly that can still work with the digital Walksnail goggles that you like? Thank you.

the mob 8 is about as cheap as you can get for digital

I got started recently too. Make sure you triple check everything because your budget will skyrocket before you even realise it. These are big hidden costs, I'm talking about the drone + 2s batteries (I bought 8) goggles + battery for goggle + radio + battery for radio + charger + storage for batteries + xt60 to xt30 + sd card. My total price (mobula included) was about 3-4 times the cost of the mobula8

@@rvdb-123 where did you buy all your stuff, I guess you're in the US? I'm hearing a lot about FPV simulators but can't find much. Are they free? I've never flown one and would like to practice a bit.
