A late morning run of my Bing clone of a Weeden 14. I think it is running pretty well, the throttle works, and the whistle has a pleasant hi-pitched tone.
The burner is made from a candy tin with insulation (spun glass?) to soak up the grain alcohol and a fine mesh SS screen (from a flat screen used to cover a frying pan and stop spatter) above it. When looking down at the burner top you see the holes and then the screen covering the insulation wick. Doing so prevents the 'wick' from burning when the flame dies. No more wick replacements.
