Bing and the Mills Brothers! What a fantastic combination! I could listen to them all day singing like this. How I miss these guys but fortunately they are still with us through these recordings. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it very much.

Bing the quintessential duet partner. Always shining as he allows his guests to shine as much, if not more

Bing had a great voice. Too bad he was such a lousy dad and husband. The Mills Bros are top notch in my book. My parents saw them a couple times ( we live close to Cincinnati, their stomping grounds, they were from Piqua, Ohio)and mom would work out the chords on her ukulele. She taught me ALL their songs, we'd sing them on road trips, and just goofing around the house. Love their music, and clad. Their dad was a barber and sang in a real barbershop quartet, all the guys were actually barbers!

Kathi, most of the bad press Bing got was from a son who had blown through his inheritance and badly needed money, so he wrote a Daddy Dearest book. The publishers only wanted a sensationalism, so Gary trashed his dad. He later recanted it. Bing believed in strict discipline, but he wasn't the monster depicted in Gary Crosby's book. If you want to know the truth, read Gary Giddins two volume biography of Bing Crosby: 1. Pocketful of Dreams and 2. Swinging on a Star: The War Years, (1940-1946). Knowlege of this might help you enjoy his music again.

@Kathi Please stop rewriting the slurs his drunken son at the time Gary; wrote to cash in on a book. Gary acknowledged he embellished. His wife Dixie was an alcoholic which was None of Bings doing. He was devastated when she died. She sadly passed fetal alcohol syndrome, on to her sons. One managed to escape from the illness and made it quite clear, Bing was a good father. Their maid when Bing was on the road which was much of the time, was the overly strict. What you see is what you get.
