The Cold Palace was grand in a sad, haunting way. The crazies in the Cold Palace were more decent to Ruyi than were those in the harem. I can't understand A'Rou playing victim especially knowing what she did. A'Rou had the audacity to blame Ruyi for her own evil actions. Speaking of audacity....the *Emperor makes everything about him! He sent Ruyi to prison for 3 YEARS!* She was terrorized, starved, contracted rhematism, frost bite, suffered snake bites, smoke inhalation. But says poor him, ruler of the world, blah, blah, blah.
