I adore that detail where after punching out the ship's underside, Susan adjusts herself to keep her back down and front up so the others won't take the brunt of any impact. The lenghts she went to to protect her friends is heartwarming.

Susan was one of my childhood crushes as a kid. This movie is one of my favorite Dreamworks movies alongside Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Shrek.

I love Susan’s tall stance and strong tone: “Now open the doors and let my friends go.” She managed to stay calm, but his remark about her exploding triggered her fury full-force. I love the forceful tone she has when she points the gun his way & commands “Now open the doors!” When he says they’re gonna die, she responds: “I wouldn’t be so sure. And the name is Ginormica.” She gets her super strength back, & returns to save her friends. Dr. Cockroach, B. O. B., and Link look up to see Susan standing above them, protecting them. Monger arrives just in time to rescue them: “Or late.”

She got more confidence at that point, regardless of her height. And having that confidence while being giant sized, she comes off as large and in charge for sure.
