Yes because not only that she's a psychopath that loves seeing blood Gore and Carnage... But it can also be presume that she respects and greatly admires a powerful leader who is strong honorable knowledgeable with her subordinates yet very capable of brutal and merciless treatment towards them should even one of them step out of line even just once like Tanaka did... Otherwise I think Gogo would lose respect and loyalty for Oren ishii and regarded her as a weakling unworthy of those two important things should she let the insult from her subordinate to her heritage slide like that.
@ArcaneWolf92 жыл бұрын
This is a great scene. She reacts without hesitation or reserve, but not by losing her shit. Quick, calm and lethal, nothing wasted. But her speech after works in many ways. One point she is making by defending her heritage, making it a topic forbidden for discussion, is that 'I don't give a damn where you came from or what is in your past. Any member of this organization, who serves this council first and foremost, is welcome and valued.' Eliminate the troublemakers, and that sort of attitude could earn a GREAT deal of loyalty.

I've heard from many different sources that those with mixed heritage have experienced bullying...even from other minorities they closest resemble (you're not black enough, you're not Japanese enough, etc.). The way Lucy Liu screams at the end was pretty...raw. I can't help but wonder if she drew upon past negative experiences to vent her anger in her performance. I've seen here in many movies and never saw her act like this.
