Indeed, HE was brilliantly manipulating Anna to use his name. Instead of being direct and telling Gia off, he made it look like Anna was in power. She didn't want to use the Grey name at first so he created a situation where she would have no choice.
@justincosingan91593 жыл бұрын
She had a lot of character development throughout the 3 films, like at the start of the 1st movie she was shy and awkward and then she started to build some confidence in 2nd when she mans up to Christian asking him to change some terms of his contract to her, and had the courage to stand up to Elena, who she threw a drink in the face. Now she's more confident than ever which is a good thing.

@@justincosingan9159 In my opinion we witness a switch, namely, Anna becomes the Dominant and Christian becomes the Submissive due to his addiction to Anna...In the beginning, Christian felt attrackted by Anna's innocence and lack of experience. Later, Anna , as a good pupil, learned a lot and became more powerful, even manipulating Christian based on his addiction to her...Between the two, Anna is definitely the smarter one in knowing /reading and manipulating people..Christian is smart in making business. A question still remains: what will happen when all the novelty and sexual experiences are over and a sort of routine sets between the two ? I think Christian will start searching new experiences..A continuation , a 4th part showing what happen next with their marriage , would be very interesting from that viewpoint.

@@mcmarkmarkson7115 whilst I agree that overall christian grey exhibits a load of problematic, controlling and downright abusive behaviour, I really dont see what the big deal about the name change is. Whilst she does mention keeping her own "identity" with her name, she was perfectly happy with being called Mrs Grey whilst planning the wedding, and all the time between the wedding day and that particular day at work. Her real main concern about changing her name was in fact due to her insecurities that other people at work will judge her for only getting where she is due to who her husband is and therefore not respect her talents, hard work, position, etc (putting aside the issue of how unrealistic her quickie promotion is in real life for the sake of the movie). That's not a woman wanting to keep her identity and being an empowered feminist, that's an insecure woman who's worried about being judged, as christian grey puts it "....why can't you love (your job) it as Mrs Grey?". Not at all defending his controlling storm into her office during work hours, but I agree with his overall point (rare for these films as on pretty much every other issue I see Christian as a total asswipe and am dumbfounded as to why she STAYED with him. I dont care how rich he or anyone else is, I wouldn't be anyone's sex slave thank you!

In the book not only was Ana upset by Gia's shameless fawning / flirting behavior with Christian in her presence she was even more upset that Gia was obviously making him uncomfortable yet wouldn't take the hints he was subtlety trying to covey. Ana wasn't just marking her territory in putting Gia in her place she was protecting Christian as well.

Ladies... entering a demeaning relationship will not lead you to love, marriage and wealth. These stories are meant to make you believe that. They are meant to demean, not empower.

I love this scene ana was savage 😂😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌🙌 Christian was uncomfortable with gia touching him and anna saw that, the only women he allows to touch him are anna and his mother nobody else so she was right to to talk to gia that way, how do u flirt with someone husband infront of their wife, imagine the disrespect, she had it coming, she needed to be put in her place 😬😬😬

This is probably 1 of my fave scenes. There are a couole other's 1st Power Move: Wedding Ring on blueprints. (Oh and Gia, it is Gia right? Oh so subtle but powerful) 2nd: "You may call me Mrs. Grey" 3rd: "My way or highway with your shit covered car." 4th: Hugging Christian from behind adding : "something less in your face, more respectful." And of course the subtle body language as they go upstairs and as Gia gets in her car. Final Result: A meek woman who was firmly put in her place.

She was ALMOST going to lie and deny that she was hitting on Christian until he came back. I would have straight up told my man what she said word for word. Someone that hits on my man ignores his uncomfortable demeanor then tries to deny it. We both would've fired her. Especially after she tries to lie until she hears him return. I FUCKING HATE women that flirt with a husband or bf when the wife or gf is right next to them. Makes me angrily sick.

And if all husbands stood up for their wives 24/7 they’d be having the most mind blowing sex and emotional connection with their wife…..and they’d have all the fun and flirting because they’d actually be dating their wife. This is one way to really be a husband and really be a wife. She stood up for her man and her marriage just the same in this scene. Love it!!!
