Me too! I love it. She does not treat him as worthless as all; neither does she overcompensate for his past trauma by just submitting to him even when it is causing him to behave in a tasteless and inappropriate manner. Rather, she calmly reasons with him using tact and dignity, and even humor! It is precisely because she is not a pushover that he respects and adores her so much. Ultimately, it is her appropriate response to his bad behavior; i.e. her appropriate use of limits or boundaries, that keeps the relationship from being, in the truest sense of the word: toxic. I don't know what is the big deal, but this might be because of the cultural diffrent, but I am from Southest asia and even after you are married you still use your family name and that is normal
@racheljames38544 жыл бұрын
@ymarrero23 A woman even after she gets married still is a daughter. Juat because she gets married her identity as a daughter doesnt vanish. Yes she becomes a wife but that doesnt mean she stops being a daughter. After marriage; her dna doesnt change. She is still has the same dna of her parents. Also you can divorce your husband but you cannot divorce your parents. Biblical arguments are not a good argument because not everyone follows bible. People in the world follow different religions and customs. There is no reason why a woman must change her last name. She will still remain the same person no matter what her last name is. Women no longer need a caretaker. They can earn money and take care of themselves. They can earn more than their husbands. They can be the breadwinner. It isnt necessary that the man be the breadearner. And all the talk about a man being the caretaker etc. What about lesbians and gays? I come from a culture where the children take the last name of their mother. The husband retains his last name and the wife retains her last name. A woman who doesnt take the last name of ger husband doesnt mean she is disrespectful. Retaining her last name shows that she still remains a daughter even after marriage. The man doesnt change his last name. Does that mean he is rejecting his identity as a husband? That he is disrespectful to the marriage? No. So why cant women do the same? This isnt fair. A man can retain his identity as a son even after marriage but a woman cant do the same? In olden times women were said to take the last name of her husband because WOMEN WERE TREATED AS PROPERTY. First the property of her father and then her husband. It wasnt a sign of respect. It was a sign of ownership. So that the new identity must be respected; the old identity should be discarded? Why? Just because she doesnt use her husband's last name doesnt mean she isnt married. She is still married. P.s. I have no problem when a woman takes her husband's name. But at the same time; a woman who doesnt take her husband's name is not wrong either.

The hilarious part about this scene is anyone who works in publishing knows how competitive it is. Too few jobs and too many bright people. It can be difficult to move up and us publishing people always talk about how you have to put in the grunt work before you get promoted. And often people who deserve to be promoted don't because there's no where up for them to go. A corner office like that would take at least 8-10 years. What I love about this is because as much as he was jealous and bothered by her not using her married name at work, and her thinking he was overreacting about it, is how right after this, when they went to the new house he surprised her with, that she didn't hesitate to state to Geo Matteo, "you can call me Mrs. Grey". Ana had her own bit of jealousy and staked her claim in doing that. Basically, unwittingly, proving Christian's point over why he wanted her to use her married name always. To show they belong to each other, and are unavailable so others knew to back off. Edit: lol and he listened to her cuz she told him he needed to shave and when he picked her up after work he had.

@Moon Child wth! Yea IK, he’s an obsessed possessive boy hiding behind his billionaire facade.. I said he’s possessive all through read my reply above again! I know he’s toxic!! But hey, Thx for your “wise RL advice” wish the delivery was polite, it might have stuck.

- Would you change your name for me ? - Yes... if it meant that much to you. - Ok... go do it! Then we'll have the same name. Problem solved. - I'll think about it. - You will? - Yes... that's how this works, remember? Talk , listen, work stuff out . And then I'll do what you say - every time. I remember liking the book. Was it that cringe?

Lord.. the comments are just silly. Loved the books and movies. Love story with a good set of characters to play them. Will forever be a fan!
@sueshivers51203 жыл бұрын
Angie W I agree with you. The comments are so silly as if the characters were real. I was more interested in the way Dakota and Jamie were interacting with each other, their eyes, the looks and of course the smiles. Great scene.

These clips show just how bad the movies were and yet I can’t stop watching them. My brain knows they’re bad and just revels in that.

Many don't realize this, but Boyce Fox is based on Sylvain Reynard. They are friends and Sylvain was writing Gabriel's Inferno trilogy at the same time EL was changing MOTU to FSOG.
