What’s the Scream movie about?
The peaceful town of Woodsboro in California turns into a bloodbath when a masked killer haunts the town. Nobody is safe, as the psychopath stalks victims, taunts them with trivia questions, then rips them to bloody shreds. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), a young teenage girl, whose mother was killed a year before, becomes the target of the masked killer. Her boyfriend Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) becomes the main suspect along with Sidney's father. Local Tabloid News Reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and Woodsbroro's Deputy Dwight "Dewey" Riley (David Arquette) investigate and try to figure out who the killer is and if it's the same person who killed Sidney Prescott’s mother the year before.

Stu being like "Peer pressure, I'm far too sensitive" always had me thinking he was going to blame it all on Billy. That's the point of peer pressure, you don't take any accountability and I feel like this is often overlooked. Once Stu realized Sidney called the cops he immediately pulled out the excuse card. Everyone points out that Billy was going to betray Stu, but I believe Stu was going to betray Billy as well. Both of them didn't give a crap about one another. It really was every man for himself 🤣

They believed themselves infallible. I don't blame them as they did a murder (Maureen) and got away with it and were going on a murder spree without being caught by the cops. In addition, they are two crazy people, Billy is a crazy person who does not know how to distinguish reality from fiction, Stu has no initiative, he is Billy's puppy.

Wasn't there a theory that the reason as to why Billy went to deep when he stabbed Stu was because he was supposed to be the soul survivor and blame Stu for all of the murders.

Though that was the motive for Jill in Scream 4 for stabbing Charlie in the heart, I could see that being a reason for Billy going too deep too. I mean looking at Scream 3, Roman mentions telling Billy to have someone to sell out in case you get caught and someone to frame. That was specifically about Maureen's murder, but the lessons played a part here too. Had an accomplice (Stu) and someone to frame (Neil Prescott). And considering this was gonna be Billy's final revenge exacted over his mother's abandonment, it would make sense that he'd desire to kill off anyone else who knew of his involvement in the murders as it was likely he was done with killing after this. Especially with how many times Stu was getting really close to exposing them. During the fountain scene near the beginning. Stu was acting overly excited, Bragging about how only a man could've gutted Casey and Steve, going into really detail explanations of how to gut someone while also making jokes about livers when it was mentioned Casey's liver was found in the mailbox. Watch how Billy is watching him during that scene, it shows that Billy is trying to get him to shut up, calling him a fuckrag after the description of gutting someone, and then hitting him once everyone left after his liver joke. First viewing, you'd think its because its disturbing Sidney, but after knowing who the killers are, you know Billy actually enjoyed the mental torment Sidney was going through, so his actions are more of annoyance that Stu is being so carefree about their secret.

LOve Skeet as Billy Loomis. He kills (hope you dont mind the pun) the role. He and Matthew Lillard nail their performances. Thanks to the writers actors and Wes Craven for bring this wonderful movie to life. Also now that I know that what was going on behind the scenes at 1:50 it makes have mix reactions. YOu want root for Sydney's character (and you do she is the hero of the story) but the fact that Skeet got hurt - makes the moment bittersweet.
