if there was wildlife on TV my cat Sasha would settle in for a proper viewing session. 2 hours one time he sat and watched an Arctic wildlife doco. He was amazing. Misha his twin brother had nothing to do with TV. Misha would rather stare out the window at potential prey, squirrels, mice, rats, birds, no foxes, but we have them in the nieghborhood

American here... I don't understand the labels you use. What's QI XL? Is that the same as QI series O and series S, or is it a different thing? I keep seing those two, and series R... are there a series A-N, P and Q, U-Z? There are so many inside jokes, what's the best order to watch in?

Each year is a series named for a new letter of the alphabet. Series A is the first year (Stephen Fry was the host from the beginning). Each episode in a series has a keyword that begins with that letter. That gives a structure to each season. Alan Davies has always sat on the host’s right since the very beginning, to ensure an element of silly clownish behavior. Blue Whale is his key phrase. The TV formatting of episodes on KZbin is either short length (29 minutes) or extra-long (44 minutes) - the XL includes stuff that was edited out of the TV broadcast. The earlier seasons are hard to find as complete episodes, but feature in shorter clip videos all over KZbin. Enjoy!

My pleasure. Stephen hosted series A through M. Sandi Toksvig is the host from Series N through present. We’re nearing the end, sadly. As with many British panel shows, the points are meaningless. With QI, the custom is that giving an answer “everybody knows” that is actually incorrect gets you the “klaxon” (bells and whistles, general shaming, and negative points). So, in Columbus’s day hardly anybody actually thought the earth was flat. That becomes ideal fodder for QI.

I agree: Dogs are definitely better than cats!!! Also cats threaten the survival of over 100 native species in Australia. They have caused the extinction of some ground-dwelling birds and small to medium-sized mammals. They are a major cause of decline for many land-based endangered animals such as the bilby, bandicoot, bettong and numbat.

Many animals in zoos are endangered or critically endangered in the wild. Afaik there's more tigers in captivity than in the wild. Hopefully at some point we'll be able to clone stuff and reintroduce robust populations
