Enjoyed this project very much, lovely family and workers, everyone is so calm :) even the kids. House is stunning and the interior wood is so lovely that you dont need to do anything except add in some furnitures.

Exactly. This is my favourite wood. It is gorgeous wood. It makes the house so cosy and spacious at the same time, and like you said you do not need to do anything. However, I do feel bad for the trees that had to die for this wood to be obtained

My husband's aunt and uncle had a somewhat similar home. The inside was all wood like this house is and it was quite monotonous. It needed color.

The commentary on the Finnish logging industry at around 10 minutes has aged badly. He emphasises that the forests are not only being harvested intensely, but 'they're increasing'. What does 'increasing' mean? We know that a forest ecosystem is more complex than we can ever know, and increasing the scale of the monoculture is bad news - risks of drought, disease and fire being among the most frightening

Andthe amount of trees is actually increasing every year. We log way less than the growth of our forests per year.
