I realized when I started making my own breakfast as a young teen that the Bagel setting on a toaster means it will only toast one side and I haven't gone back since. I think potato chips (or crisps as they are called in the UK) are one of the last things I would ever try to make at home. That said, it is very cool to watch you make them. And there in lies the beauty of this channel.

Great episode Babish. I figured a delicious marble rye is made this way, not unlike a cinnamon roll, but it was great to see the process all the same. And both a marble rye and a combo of turkey and pastrami, appeal to my Neapolitian (like the chocolate/vanilla/strawberry) sensibilities. Breaking down a Liz Lemon, I did recall the term Reuben mentioned in the episode. Granted you would probably be more familiar with the sandwich considering your East Coast background (Midwest here), but I do love a good Reuben and definitely see some variations here. I'm thinking pastrami Reuben (the traditional using corned beef)/Rachel (from the turkey) with coleslaw in lieu of the sauerkraut that I'm used to. I would ask which ingredient is more traditional in a Reuben/Rachel, but I would likely favor the kraut anyway. Just like, given the chance, having my Reuben with pastrami instead of the traditional corned beef. Pastrami, the most sensual of the salted cured meats. And of course, the addition of freshly made chips. 😋

Hey Babish, I think you should make "Robin's Ultimate Sandwich" from Teen Titans Go! (You would roll the dough out yourself like he does, cut the tomatoes with a "sword", make a secret sauce, etc.) Then you would put the sandwich together and let it crisp in the fridge. Since it is a basic recipe, you could always make your own variant (aka your version of, what you think is the ultimate sandwich.) Just a thought I had! Love your Channel btw, Keep up the Good Work!!!

But what I do is take three pieces of rye bread and put Russian dressing on one side of two pieces of bread and on both sides of the other. Then put Swiss, pastrami, and turkey on the bottom section and cole slaw on the top section. Best sandwich I’ve ever eaten.
