I live in San Diego and go to the clothing bins in San Ysidro where you get 35lbs of clothes for $24 and .75 every lb over . The also have linens and shoes.

Wow, that is interesting- do you find nice items or do you have to repair a lot? I don't think I could handle 35# of used clothing at one time! 🤣

I havent tried the San Diego bins. They look cleaner, calmer. I went to the Escondido bins last month and it was a mess. At least 5 people per bin and most were those large deep cardboard boxes, very difficult to reach in them. Clothes thrown everywhere, you had to walk on layers of clothes on the floor.

Ooof I haven’t been to the Escondido bins in year but it sounds like they haven’t changed much. I really disliked how competitive the bins were up there 😅

I’m closer to the LA bins. I know you have shopped there also. Do you think LA Bins is better than San Diego ? I’m curious about the Escondido bins also
@segundabyali5 ай бұрын
I always find some really great things at the LA bins and I do like how it’s priced by the pound. However, the San Diego bins are less chaotic and even though it’s $2/piece, when I go to the LA bins my average cost of goods ends up being around $2/piece too. I’ve haven’t been to the Escondido bins in around a year but they were more competitive than the San Diego bins and they barely put out new bins. I’m not sure if it’s changed though

Santa Ana bins are not worth a poop. Haven't been to LA bins but the thrifts always have the best treasures.

I don't get it. So you collect pieces that people donate and then re-sell them to make a profit?????

Are these the bins in San Ysidro or the new one they just opened? I used to love going to the bins but they are pretty far from me and I too work at a school so my time was limited to when I could go.

I’ve never been to bins but was thinking about heading to this one. It doesn’t look as crazy as other videos I’ve seen from bins but maybe that’s because they charge more? Also when you mentioned the shoes did you say you don’t know a cost until you go to cashier? So odd.
@segundabyali5 ай бұрын
These bins are fairly new, they just opened in March so I think that’s part of reason they’re chiller than other locations. For shoes, they have ranges based on style ($7-$12 for athletic shoes, $5-$10 for boots, $3-$4 for sandals), so you have to ask a cashier how much they’ll actually be.
@TexasGal19705 ай бұрын
It's fantastic, clean and prices good. There is also a restroom which is awesome. Also easy free parking.

@@segundabyaliI think I’m going to do my first bins adventure next week at the downtown location, can you recommend what would be a good day and time? I don’t mind a little crowd but want to kind of see what’s it’s like in person and just do a little searching while I’m there. Ok thanks 😊

@segundabyali5 ай бұрын
This is the San Diego bins. I haven’t been to the Escondido bins in around a year so I’m not sure which one is better at the moment. But last year they were pretty competitive and had a lottery system to get in. They also didn’t rotate very often. Not sure how the two stack up now…
