On this episode of ID the Future from the vault, biochemist and author Michael Denton and host Eric Anderson conclude their conversation about Denton's book The Miracle of the Cell, and about his epiphany of the many remarkable ways that nature’s chemistry is fine-tuned for life. This is Part 2 of a two-part conversation.

Superb! I've observed that when I present facts like these that make microbe-to-man evolution harder and harder to have faith in, those that _do_ have faith in it dismiss the evidence out of hand. They _want_ to believe all life evolved by materialistic naturalistic forces and aren't going to let science stand in the way.

Michael Denton is a champion. Recommend revisiting this after a week or so. First take note of views, having now fourteen hundred, and see views a week later. If people "were" concerned about real science, like this talk explains, this information "should" be spreading to, at least, tens of thousands by then.

It seems to me that Discovery Science should get a lot more views. It makes me question the KZbin algorithm.

Great stuff, but it sounds like he's reading not speaking. The fine tuning at the center of this extends all the way across the cosmos. In order to create all the elements on the periodic table the universe had to be precisely the mass that it is, expanding at precisely the rate it does. Our Local Group of galaxies is unusual, and unusually conducive to life. Galaxies colliding aren't stable enough. The Milky Way itself is unusually in symmetrical and stable. Of all the thousands of stars and galaxies we know none are stable enough, only the Sun. In order to have the mix of metals and other elements we have the Sun must have formed in a cluster with many supernovas. But then it must also have been ejected from this and stabilized in exactly the spiral arm we find ourselves in. Life on Earth began literally the instant solar output stabilized, and Earths atmosphere became hospitable. The few billion years of life coincides precisely with this stable solar time window. The moon stabilizes our planet, and Jupiter sweeps asteroids that would have bombarded Earth destroying human life just like it destroyed the dinosaurs. There's literally hundreds more examples of fine tuning, and I'm just rattling them off not even detailing just how unbelievably precise this fine tuning has to be. So much so that to think ANY of it is random chance defies all sense and reason. We - the universe and everything in it- is the divine creation of a supernatural eternal intelligence. Even that doesn't capture it, because eternal implies time and this intelligence transcends space, time, matter and energy. Science, it seems, has discovered God.

Oh, yay! New word - "vitalist." _"Vitalism is a belief that starts from the premise that "living organisms are fundamentally different from non-living entities because they contain some non-physical element or are governed by different principles than are inanimate things."_ - Wikipedia I like it :) -------- If you've never seen a T-bone steak turned back into a cow, you might be a vitalist.

Gee. More "Goldilocks zones." I can just hear Jim Nabors saying, "Surprise, surprise, surprise." _"For this is what the Lᴏʀᴅ says - he who created the heavens, he is God;_ *he who fashioned and made the earth,* _he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but_ *formed it to be inhabited* _- he says: “I am the Lᴏʀᴅ , and there is no other."_ The Bible, Isaiah 45.18 (NIV) (Emphasis added.)

It's time to replace Darwin's unobservable conjecture based in literal ignorance with observable fact-based intelligence.
