I am team bio digester too! It is best for the environment allowing the treated water to enter back into the soil. There is no need to get a truck on to your plot to empty anything. Yay for considering an orchard. We are doing a mini food forest meaning we are going to fill out plot with as many different types of food as possible. What we cannot eat we can both share and sell.

From my EXPERIENCE, the Bio Digester Technician MUST work hand in hand with the PLUMBER when constructing the Bio Digester, and PREFERABLY the Plumber MUST be will versed with Bio-Digester Technology. If not you will CRY. The Soap(kitchen, shower and Bathroom) channels must be SEPARATED from the WASTE CHANNELS - waste goes directly to the LAST MAN HOLE and into the bio digester chamber. The SOAP CHANNELS go directly into the SOAK PIT. Lastly i know Bio Digester experts who would do a 1 cubic meter Bio Digester for approximately 60k(Labour and Enzyme only) in Western Kenya.

No for bio -digester for me they dont last not reliable compared to the cost, like the strong and true reliability of the septic.
