Railways and nature do play a key part in our daily lives and how we should look after nature and not destroy it. Very nice work Network Rail.

Most people, when they hear of plants with regard to the railways, they tend to think of japanese knot grass, ( introduced by the Victorians) to stabilise embankments, rose bay willowherb, seeds carried in the trains slipstream, that proliferate along tracks but not these smaller varieties of plants. When i drove trains for BR the ragged robin used to explode in riotous banks of colour, especially in ballast in such places as the tracks as you came into Charing Cross. Interesting to hear about alternative biodiversity around the tracks.

Worth the watch, but I'm sure this has been shown before - and not all that long ago.

I thought so too ... and I'm not getting any déjà vu vibe! Beautiful images, nonetheless.
