BioFan I didn't have an Xbox One when Trespasser was released so I allowed myself all the trappings of spoilers. I listened to the Cassandra reading in mcdonalds and ugly cried in public. A combination of how happy Cassandra was and the realization that the story with my favorite companions of the series was over is still to this day too much.

I started a fresh character. an Elven female mage. I romance Solas. I can't wait to start the trespasser DLC soon I'm a level 17 right now and currently in the exalted Plains

[SPOILER ALERT] I wonder why Solas has us go around the map to put up the elven artifacts (that strengthen the veil) if he intends to take it all down? Or is he lying about the purpose of the artifacts? Hmm. Anyways, this was a good review! The DLC was such an emotional roller coaster for me, I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to see Tevinter!

One thing that I hated about it was SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER APOLER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER After Iron Bull's death (which does make a lot of sense after you think about it), there's only two lines of dialogue devoted to him. That guy absolutely deserved a killing blow cutscene! Just something to give him more closure. It kinda reminded me of Kirrahe's possible death during the Cerberus coup attempt. Shepard says "we lost another Salarian". Kirrahe was more than "just another Salarian", and Bull's death made him feel like "just another Qunari".

I have been waiting for this, the review to end all reviews!! This is really all that I wanted from a dlc - more companion interactions and a heavy story focus. And the ability to make out with my mage boyfrennnn. I really enjoyed the new changes that have been introduced, like the wardrobe, golden nug, faster loot times, and banter trigger points. I hope you are right about Bioware implementing them in future games. Excellent review, Biofan! *sigh* I'm gonna miss your DA:I content. It's the end of an era!

Witch Hunt was I guess sorta epiloge-y. Trespasser was written fully with the intent of being an epilogue.

Loved this dlc. There could not be too much companion interaction for me. Unlike the decent which by the way I loved for level development the writing was extremely good. I however dread the ending for personal reasons. I believe that story of inquisitor has come to an end according to bioware deves saying so but they left the story more open to continuation than the one with Flemeth and Solas after the first credits. My inquisitors personal declarations to Solas at the end of Trespasser made a promise to end him. How could the inquisitor not be in the next game without disappointing his promise to himself and Solas. A cameo in the next game for me would not suffice as there is not closure for my inquisitor without a true confrontation. Leaving the true final scene with Solas to another hero whether stopping or redeeming him feels like cheating my inquisitor who I spent countless hours with. Like I said this is my personal observation and will count on whether I purchase the next game. To render my inquisitor to a cameo in the next game is something I'm not looking forward to but we will see.

+eva magnusson I have mixed feelings about an Inquisitor cameo. I like how hawke got a CC, buuuutttt I found him/her saying things my hawke would NEVER say. They took the hawke dialogue way too far in some situations. I think a way to fix this would be to have a dialogue wheel for your returning protagonist. Tho new players wouldn't have this option. Keep import only. What do you think?

+BioFan I know what you mean. Most of my Hawkes didn't really love or hate blood magic, and I played 2 blood mages. I still haven't played a world state with one of my blood mages in it yet, but I have played with my main Hawke. He didn't mind blood magic, romanced Merrill, supported all her efforts, didn't blame her for other's reactions to what she was doing. So hearing him go "Bleh blood magic is evil. I hate blood magic. No good can come from it" bothered me a lot.

I loved this DLC it is such a worthwhile conclusion to the story so much so I would recommend strongly to all my friends who have played through the main game to come back and experience it. There are so many parts that I love about this DLC especially when it came to what your companions have been up to the past 2 years, with Cole getting a girlfriend and Cullen getting a dog it made all those decisions I made in the main game so rewarding.

Oooooh, poor Varric! He looks so tiny in that armor! I hadn't even though to try it on him yet but that's hilarious, heh. Yeah, I have to say, the final boss was a surprise. It was a fun fight and kind of cool but definitely undercut the dramatic buildup for the actual main antagonist (and not the secret, actual-actual end "antagonist", heh). Maybe that was purposeful to put us off balance for the final reveal and cut scenes? I really don't know. I haven't seen The Divine armor yet and IT'S FREAKING AMAZIIIIIIING, WHAAAT?! Oh my god, my kingdom for a schematic that I can Golden Nugh, wow! Fantastic review! Gotta say, I don't think I'd ever be completely "done" with more and more companion content so I was ultimately satisfied with what we got.

+Kellen Wolfe-Warneke hehehehe. He looks so funny in it. It makes his build look very weird for his height. Yeah I think the Vidasallah would've been a better choice for a boss fight. The super powered sareebas was eh. Just kind of a spank and tank situation. IT'S GOLD. I haven't played with Vivi as divine, I think hers may be silver actually. BUT IT'S SO SHINY I WANT IT RIGHT NOW. Also the Divine's personal guard had a godl version of Sebastien's armor, I drooled. I wanted it SO BAD OMG. I could've used more companion content as well, but i'm defo satisfied with the quality they gave us. Really glad you enjoyed my review :D

I think what took up most of Inquisition's time was overcoming issues with the engine, and creating base textures and models, etc. So now that they've overcome a lot of the foundational things, next time should be a little easier. I hope.

BioFan Plus making the decision to release on older consoles reduced a lot of things they wanted to do. Which is sad because the final product was absolutely amazing. So now that the next game will only be current gen and PC, they will really be able to do the things they want to do. maybe even stuff they wanted to do in Inquisition.

Just looking at the next-gen DLCs there's a bit of improvement. Imagine a WHOLE GAME not restricted by last gen. It's gonna be goooood! What we saw of Inquisition during that first gameplay footage at PAX was taken out because old-gen couldn't handle it.

Well done, a very nice review for a very good DLC full of funny, sad and epic moments. The thing i loved the most is the truck load of lore we got for Elves and certain stuff that happened and how they happened, i am intrigued and horrified at the same time, i hope you make a video analyzing what we learned about Elven Lore.

I don't think you mentioned about the "Trials" feature which adds more challenge and rewards for using these options to the game. That is one of the best Pros imo

+Barry Chuckle I'd have to be straight up flabbergasted by perfection to give a 10. I hold onto that last .5 pretty tightly. It's have to be completely flawless for me to do that. But 9.5 is about as high as I'd go. Really glad you enjoyed the review, it was a beautiful beast to make! :D

I'm not a native English speaker, my reading seed is not fast. The epilogue slides went by so fast for me, eventually I Just gave up reading. I even skipped the end credits and missed Casandra's epic dialogues. I felt my experience with Inquisition ended horribly. It's a shame, really.

Ricky said their reading speed was slow - not listening speed. Yeah, those last slides are displayed for only a short time. I'm a very fast reader but I still was surprised by how fast they advanced to the next.

Brilliant review, BioFan! Definitely worth the wait hehe ^^ My only real complaints are, as you've mentioned in the video, the looong loading screens and the insanely fast epilogue text. I actually was convinced that my game was bugged, so I closed the game, replayed the last few minutes again and.. then found out it wasn't a bug, it was just a rather annoying decision they'd made. With speed-reading, I could only -just- get through the text, but didn't have any time to let myself process the words I'd read. Pity! Other than that, this DLC was incredibly satisfying and SO worth the time, money and wait! It's the closure to DAI that I needed :D Oh and ... CULLEN BLURT IT OUT WHY DON'T YOU!

One minor point: As one that often skips the Codex entries, it is somewhat a given that I am not going to gather the full experience as I am not utilizing all of it. In Skyrim, one should read the Journals as they are often better than some Quest givers. And in DA2, there is a major entry that helps explain why Mages and magic are largely ignored around Kirkwall. I accept the idea that there is content I may be missing, so I am not going to complain because they do not include further visual explanations. FWIW; your reviews are quite helpful, and very well made.

It pisses me off that I finally found some awesome magic accessories that stacked to make my slow swinging two handed warrior a lightning fast great sword slasher...and now I have to go back to playing the entire game like I'm stuck in the mud if I wanna play that class again. That slow slogging heavy feeling only gets worse after you've played as any other class as well...problem is no other class hits as hard or gives you that satisfying impact when the meat or magic meets meat... Also feels like it's missing gore, decapitations, dismemberments and brutal class specific finishers...not to mention awesome tag team combo moves, I really wanna see sera riding on bulls horns lol

How could you bioware! Go an entire game and not have Sandal???? Enchantment!! You can also find a store in the crossroads! I got this Error CE-34878-0 when i toggle the abilities! But i change it back to orginal abilities and no more crashes! I got 4-5 crashes that day!

+Sparkz Mentalz The new skills are there from the start of trespasser. Buy a tactician's renewal from the crafting shop there if you want to switch abilities up. I'd say out of all 3 this is the most story heavy. Descent gives you great loot and a little good story as well though. Why would a video game company make a DLC where you can’t return to the main map, areas(Including the Skyhold) and mission in the main map even after competing the DLC!? Why not have the game make an undeletable save that you can load whenever you want so you can return to the old map!?

I was a bit disappointed in how many glitches there were. My Dorian-romancer got a friendship cutscene every time I tried it and he's my favourite Inquisitor so... Yeah :( But to be clear I loved the DLC. The first time I ran it I spent the entire time, from opening cutscene to last, trying not to cry. And I ended up taking screenshots of the slides so I could read them later and enjoy the art (which was amazing).

It was the scene with Duke Cyril - I only noticed because I ran it on a different Dorian-mancer and got a completely different conversation! It was a bit awkward when he called me "my friend" but I thought it was just a writing oversight - and then I got a kiss and such in that same scene with my other character. I did get the lover slide so I'm not completely disappointed (how could I be, everything was amazing) just trying to figure out what happened to cause that change in cutscene.

Oh yeah, that scene is the same every time. I had an assquisitor that kicked his butt out of the inquisition, yet "my friend" is still how he greets you.

I plan on bying all dlcs for this one, so far i bought Joh since it was on sale. Tresspasser has some new talents, do they appear PRE-dlc? or after i start the dlc. i am asking this cause i would by the dlc now before i get to endgame since this is endgame content, like descent and JoH

Fact is i really lover- liked it back then but i criticised it heavily and after witcher 3 (which is one of the best games ever imo) a comparison was inevitable. SIdequests, you know what i ma talking about. But starting this again made me realise why l love dragon age. Graphics-level desgin - tactical combat on nightmare with ff - the ambinet sound- the music - the characters sooo good.

They've put out like 5+ patches in the last 8 months lol. I'd wait until at least lvl 25 to start trespasser if you want to play with the max amount of abilities at lvl 27

+milly gribben Thanks Milly! I try and stay 50/50. It was REALLY HARD to come up with cons for Trespasser. Had to think hard and talk with people. I also wish the slides were voiced. Morrigan wasn't in it, so I was thinking maybe Solas would be more appropriate for the narrator.

+Andre Gilliam If you mean access, then yes. It becomes available after the final boss of the main game has been defeated. The DLC wouldn't work at all otherwise. But just this DLC, the other 2 are playable once you get to skyhold I think.

What bothered me most is the two options you had for the fate of the Inquisition. I felt there should of been a third. Spoilers below Instead of just "Inquisition continues under the command of the Divine and risks corruption but has a force to stop Solas" and "Inquisition disbands weakening the force against Solas but also limiting the chance of corruption" there should have been an option to keep the Inquisition going without it being collared to anyone including the Divine. You even get options at the beginning of Trespasser while talking to the Duke to say that you plan to keep going without outside control, but the option is never shown at the end. They could have had this one seem like the worse option because you have to worry about corruption and you face Thadas turning on you. You could take how you made your Inquisition in the base game be how you kept your independence. Threaten to use your military, use their secrets to turn them against each other or as blackmail, call in on favors owed to the Inquisition while calling on allies and continue to gain more favors. It could of been an unlock, you had to spend so many points in one the paths to gain it. It just doesn't feel right to not have that option in there I only played Trespasser through once. Though I did play it partway a second time with the same character to get a certain armor set. I played with my main and considering my head cannon for her and the fact she romanced Solas it was a crippling DLC, and in the end she disbanded the Inquisition because the only way she could keep it is to let it be controlled by Divine Victoria. While she trusts Leliana fully, my Inquisitor hated the Chantry and would rather see the world burn before handing them more power. So having only those two choices when I fully expected to be able to keep the Inquisition as is, even with possibly really bad consequences, left a really bad taste in my mouth. Still love this DLC though

Essentially, becoming something upsetting order and peace you claimed to protect. Should've heeded Solas' words about corruption. Hope three years later you're not as naive to think it was an option... at any point.

I thibk I'm going to get the GotY Edition today, I loved the base game, alot but I've never played any of the DLC which sucks because Solas was my boy so the end left me wondering "why?" and I still haven't had that question answered, maybe I'll get them today(or next week..its a long game). I shouldn't have traded it after beating it a couple times Edit: Is anyone else a fucken idiot and can't help but take really quick glances at posts that mention spoilers even though you're not wanting to be spoiled?

Yep. Once you start it, that's it. However, all the best crafting stuff is there just FYI. Don't gear up for it, just save up the $$$ and reach the max level. Descent DLC gets you mega $$$

13... I had a lot of time on my hands during those 4 years of development... so I kinda over planned. Only 8 of them have killed Cory so far. I think i'm going to narrow it down to 8-10 next time. Defo one for each romance.
