Biogas come to the help of Ugandan cattle-herders

For the cattle-herders of Uganda's Karamoja region, a new system is keeping home fires burning and saves women from attacks by rival clans.
It is pilot UNICEF scheme to produce biogas for cooking stoves. It is hoped that the technology can be scaled up across the region as a source of fuel that could help reduce the strain on the environment.
