The Alawaites don't stand a chance, Assad's army and all other loyal factions have completely collapsed, there only remains remenants with light weapons, hiding in different villages and cities, between houses and in the wild, they don't have the capability to fight the new government, which has a standing and strong military structure, command and control, etc... Also the Alawites should be extremely happy they've been allowed to remain in their areas, and anyone without blood on his hands has been allowed to get on with life, don't forget a large portion of Alawites stood with the criminal regime over a period of 50 years and commited the most henious crimes known to mankind against all other religions, especially against Sunnis.

This so called new government is weak it has always been weak if the Syrian army stood and fought they could have crushed them. When Damascus fell without a fight I asked myself where the presidential guard went since they were supposed to defend Damascus.
