I know he's talking about carbon in gas form, but the vast majority of most gasses like carbon, oxygen, etc., are found in rocks and sediment. the rest is in other places like the atmosphere.

I teach Earth Space Science and have a degree in Geologic Sciences. The majority of Carbon is stored in the geosphere inside rocks. He says the atmosphere, which is incorrect.

As to why is the water static its the same thing as well its all just biogeochemical replenishment, earth quite unlike mars has all the necessities for it, I say a planned one way trip to mars is gettin way ahead as theres much they havent figured in.
