Sorry,madam He was born at Kairana, near Muzaffarnagar in western uttar pradesh. Kuruksheshtra is in Haryana.

Hari Kishan ji you are absolutely correct. Some, claim, due ignorance, that the great classical genius was born at a place Kirana under Kurukshtra dist. of Haryana .Actually this place ( town) is known as Kairana in dist Mujaffarnagar of UP close to my village.

He was Darbaari Gayak of State of Baroda (Vadodara) I am a Barodian. Our Maharaja was a "Hira-Paarkhu". He sent Bhimrao Ambedkar for higher study, Appointed Shri Aurobindo as an english professor in baroda college. Faizkhan sahib was also Darbaari Gayak.
