Ajay Singh I never said so about chengish Khan...it was his grandson Halagu Khan who was king of Mongol empire in that period and yes again I can say explicitly that Mongol was vanquished by Mamluks of Egypt in 1260 in battle of Ain jalaut which forbade Mongols to take control of magreb region( north Africa) Please look up for Mamluks vs Mongol u will get to know lot more..ty

satyendra changish Khan passed away way before the battle of Ain jalaut dividing his empire into four parts for his four sons and as I said earlier it was his grandson Halagu khan who was controlling Mongolia that time..so naturally there is no question of war for succession of Chengish Khan.

The point you are staing above were just mere a theoritical beliefs of early historians but contemporary documentation discovered in the 1980s reveals thats Hulagu himself claimed that he withdrew most of his forces because he could not sustain such a large army logistically, saying that the fodder in the region had been mostly used up and that it was a Mongol custom to withdraw to cooler lands for the summer.which clearly shows that halagu was present in the battle however it was his confidant and lieutant kitbuqi who was commanding the forces.
