Stalin was the greatest leader of the last century. Only because of him Russia became a superpower, and defeated Nazi Germany. From having no electricity in the country to sending a man in space for the first time in history in 30 years. Respect!

His policies also led to the deaths of more than 20 million people during the Ukraine famine in 1932 after the failures of collectivisation which was at the time the biggest human-induced famine in History. He terrorized his people, assassinated several popular politicians, Purged his army among other organisations which had members who posed a threat to his power. He did achieve on the economic front, but the sheer human cost of it cannot be ignored. He was a nation builder but also a tyrant.

@18:20.....As far as I have heard, Stalin's Only son used to be one of the Military Commanders of the Red Army, He was commanding a division of Red army opened to the German Front, But since German army was technically advance and Red Army not yet had the support of American troops, the red army surrendered in front of german army, and including Stalin's son his whole division was captured by germans as prisoners, Stalin's son died under mysterious conditions, Some says inorder to capture the place called Stalingrad on the banks of Volga River, Hitler used Stalin's son as a bait to make Stalin surrender or do negotiations, because Hitler was very obsessed with Stalingrad as it was the only route which was a strong ground of the Soviet union and served as a strategic barrier in between Hitler and a place near Caspian sea which is called BAKU, Now BAKU here was the most important oil refinery of soviet union which hitler wanted to exploit or destroy inorder to fail the soviet union. Stalin did not paid much heed on Hitler's demand and finally Stalin's son was executed by Hitler which sustained his Ego. Since Stalin's son still remained as a Pride of Red army, the Stalin's propaganda machinery got activated, and spread the news that Rather surrendering in front of Nazi's the Stalin's only brave son chose to commit suicide. I can be wrong here guys, but as there are no perfect evidences about it, we are completely dependent upon few written books and the words of war experts.
