Wow amen brother. It's interesting that I could not see this until recently, but it's true, only the spiritual man taught by Christ will understand this.

Ephesians 2:1-3, The depravity of man. This can be compared to Romans 1:18-3:20. Ephesians 2:4-10, The gospel. This can be compared to Romans 3:21-chapter 6. Ephesians 2:11 and 12, A look back or remembering the past. This can be compared to Romans 7. Ephesians 2:13-22, More of the gospel and living it out. This can be compared to Romans 8 if not Romans 8-16.

Paul gives an analogy in Rms 7:2-6. Romans 7: 4 is about Romans 6. (present tense) Romans 7:5 is about Romans 7. (past tense) Romans 7:6 is about Romans 8. (present tense) Each verse is a summary of each chapter given.

Oh my. I just read Romans 7 again, and I can see EXACTLY what you're saying. He's says that "while we were in the flesh," then at verse 14 he says, "but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin." There is no way he is describing his Christian life, since the flesh has been removed from us by the circumcision made without hands.

Romans 6:16 is about Romans 1:18-3:20. Romans 6:17 is about Romans 3:21 through Romans 4. (This is about faith and "that form of doctrine obeyed from the heart" is faith) Romans 6:18 is about Romans 5. Romans 6:19 is about Romans 6. (Presents tense) Romans 6:20 and 21 is about Romans 7. (Again we see Paul brings in the past lost man right in the middle of the gospel.) Romans 6:22 and 23 is about Romans 8. (Back to present tents)

If you still sin like you confessed to doing at 39:15 then you cannot say you are victorious over sin! Are you sure you are not Pauls sin buddy? Jesus was sinless so i accepted his perfect obedience to God's law on my behalf! We don't have a license to sin but we will still sin as believers in Jesus as you clearly admitted to! Thank God Jesus paid it all! Come to think of it, then where it says in 1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves. Then this must be before we came to Jesus for salvation! It does not make sense to me to say yeah i sin but i do not commit the same sin over and over so therefore everything is ok!

Romans 1:18; For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Romans 7:25b So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. The man of Romans 7 holds truth, but does not do truth. Romans 7 is a lost man.

Isaiah 58 shows Jews under the law seeking after God and delighting in Him. They could not have been born of the Spirit. This only gets confusing when you adopt total depravity. All in the Hebrews hall of faith would have been "depraved," yet they all had a measure of faith that they exercised and pleased God. We have all gone out of the way, not were born out of the way.
